About The Position
We’re looking for a dynamic, personable, and enthusiastic Market Manager to be the face of our brand to key accounts, decision-makers, influencers, and consumers in Los Angeles!
Welcome to the sweet life! Swoon is the consumer products company dedicated to taking sugar down while keeping life sweet. Launched by two women looking to create a cleaner way to drink, we started by making easy-to-enjoy delicious cocktails (and mocktails) without compromising taste. In 2019, we launched our zero sugar simple syrup – a liquid sugar substitute that PureWow called “the closest thing to sugar we’ve tried.” We’ve grown quickly into 2,200 stores nationwide, with plans to launch new products and new markets in 2020!

We’re looking for a dynamic, personable, and enthusiastic Market Manager to be the face of our brand to key accounts, decision-makers, influencers, and consumers in Los Angeles! You’ll be a natural salesperson, storyteller, educator, and advocate, responsible for introducing Swoon to new customers and bringing our brand story to life.  
 
In this role, you will report to our VP of Sales and Marketing and assist in creating a key account strategy for both on and off premise in LA. You’ll regularly provide your manager with updates on executing that strategy, while managing all account information. Your focus will be bringing on strategic accounts (bars, restaurants, coffee shops, etc) and owning ongoing account management, through building relationships with key decision-makers, driving sales through orders and re-orders, scheduling and executing samplings and events, securing menu placements, and creating promotional opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Positively represent the Swoon brand everywhere, every day.
  • Identify key accounts, secure Swoon product placement, and provide regular ongoing updates and reports, including relevant account information.
  • Establish, maintain report, and serve as point of contact with decision-makers, buyers, and specialty retailers to drive initial orders and reorders.
  • Manage local distributor network - track and drive goals, manage ride along’s, execute sales team training's, and oversee incentive initiatives.
  • Manage and execute account staff training's and trade event programming.
  • Engage and educate consumers on the story, taste, quality, and ingredients.
  • Support ongoing Swoon launch strategy through product testing, market research, competitor research, and consumer feedback.
  • Actively promote brand both on and off premise, through sampling events, partnerships, activation's, merchandising efforts, and premium displays.
  • Track, organize, and report regularly on sales leads, current account list, and order/re-order information.
  • Identify local marketing opportunities and execute events, creating authentic and memorable brand impressions and building brand excitement (these opportunities can include, but are not limited to: community events, retailer events, influencer and celebrity seeding, media, and strategic venue partnerships).
  • Assist with digital content creation, as it related to partners, key accounts, and event activation's, and promote brand activity via social media.
  • Ensure orders are placed regularly across market, and in anticipation of events.
  • Oversee and manage company resources including inventory, sales and marketing collateral, point-of-sale materials, and event assets.
  • Complete regular recaps and expense reports.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years sales experience (wellness, spirits, and/or food & beverage industry a plus)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Outgoing personality – willing to talk to anyone and strike up a conversation!
  • Natural relationship builder with outstanding presentation skills
  • Views “no” as an exciting opportunity to change someone’s mind!
  • Ability to manage your own schedule 
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to come up with new ideas, execute, and report back on results with thoughtful recommendations
  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and energetic, with a positive, proactive and transparent attitude
  • Ability to educate gatekeepers and consumers about product benefits and features
  • Available to work some weekends
  • Not afraid to get down and dirty unpacking boxes
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Passionate about taking sugar down, healthy living, and the Swoon mission!
Additional information
  • Remote role – based in Los Angeles area (travel to NYC HQ required as needed)
  • Travel approximately ~25% of time (based on company needs)
  • Reports directly to VP of Sales and Marketing
