About The Position
Be one of the first hires at Sugarbreak and join our mission to fight the diabetes pandemic and sugar addiction. Our small, but mighty team is made up on seasoned executives and founders from Method Home, Ripple Foods, L'Oréal.
Our Mission
Sugarbreak is out to address the current need in the marketplace for the FIRST end to end all natural blood sugar management solution. Sugarbreak will provide this through a product line consisting of proprietary formulations of herbal remedies with clinically studied efficacy. As you know, the United States currently has 30MM diabetics and 84MM pre-diabetics with a total healthcare cost of $327BN in 2017 and growing. In light of COVID, the urgency to address blood sugar management has been highlighted with the co-morbidity rates and we believe that we can be part of the solution. We are a benefit corp and part of our mission is to help bring down the impact of diabetes in underserved communities.
 

Office Location:  Manhattan, NY (Remote working available)                                   

Position Title:  Supply Chain Planner
Reporting to: CEO                                                               
                                         
Overview:  Sugarbreak is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the food/ beverage/ supplement/ beauty industry. This individual will be working closely with the CEO and executive team to help manage the supply of existing products, as well as being an integral part of bringing new products to market. This role requires organization, inventory management, forecasting skills, and analytical thinking. The role will be remote to start, but will eventually be in New York (open to other locations on the East Coast).

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of supply plan of assigned finished goods, considering shelf life expiration, while balancing network demands with supply capabilities to maintain target stock levels and support on time shipments to customers
  • Proactively identify supply constraints and propose solutions
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate inventory pre-builds with Manufacturing to compensate for periods of capacity limitations
  • Generate supply plan on a regular basis and communicate potential inventory or customer service gaps or risks to cross functional partners
  • Participate in production problem solving and troubleshooting by collaborating with team members to achieve correct inventory results
  • Work with the Supply Chain to identify opportunities for improvement related to capacity planning, productivity and plan attainment metrics through Continuous Improvement efforts as well as planning system parameters
  • Execute what-if scenarios in the mid and long-term horizon to anticipate end to end planning capabilities required to satisfy demands
 
Attributes / Position Requirements:
  • 3-5 years in a Supply Chain Position
  • Experience in working at an e-commerce start-up in the food & beverage or supplements space
  • Experience working in fulfillment with large national retailers
