Field Sales Representative

SUMMARY

This sales role will represent Spirit Hound Distillers in the Colorado market and will cover both on and off premise customers.  Will work directly & indirectly with the assigned Spirit Hound company territory, wholesaler, and their sales teams to promote sales, provide education, and achieve target distribution, volume goals, and established KPIs. Establish and maintain a best-in-class, professional sales relationship with key retailers and distributors within the assigned territory. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key duties and responsibilities:

·        Identify and develop new customers for SHD in the CO market.
·        Develop and improve relationship with existing customers.
·        Develop and enhance key relationships with the distributor.
·        Maintain constant communication with the State Manager, distributor sales force, and all retailers.
·        Develop, manage, and own the results on a monthly/quarterly target account list built from goals and objectives. The list will include a subset of priority accounts visited monthly or more and a larger set of both buying and non-buy accounts to be visited quarterly. Account list size and geography will vary by territory and be set in collaboration with the State Manager / VP of Sales.
·        Analyze and develop sales opportunities from VIP software or other company provided sales software.
·        Responsible for POS and merchandising in assigned territory.
·        Conduct ongoing brand training with retailers, bars & restaurants, distributor partners, and consumers.
·        Conduct consumer tastings and hand-sells.
·        Assist at all special events and festivals in the territory.

Other duties and responsibilities:

·        Support Spirit Hound Company Core Values, Purpose, and Philosophies.
·        Time Management - 90% spent in assigned market, 10% spent on administrational duties. 
·        Perform administrative tasks as they are assigned; expense reports, weekly/monthly pre-plan, establish distribution targets, conduct price surveys, quarterly product quality surveys, and target account benchmarking.
·        Maintains professional image and demeanor at all times.
·        Able to maintain and report an expense budget within the given parameters and analyze ROI on market spends. 
·        Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

·        Ability to work flexible schedule; ability to work nights and weekends, travel may be required.
·        Excellent organizational, planning, and sales skills.
·        Two years minimum experience working in the three-tier distribution system either with a Spirit/Beer wholesaler or Spirit/Beer supplier and/or applicable industry or sales experience. 
·        Strong knowledge of craft sprits, the industry, and its retail customers/consumers.
·        Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
·        Excellent oral, analytical, written, and communication skills.
·        Dynamic public speaking and presentation skills.
·        Live in (or reasonably near) the market for which Field Sales Representative is responsible for.
·        Self-starter/ Self-motivated.
·        A valid driver’s license (Clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check). 
·        Must be at least 21 years of age. 
·        Experience using a CRM to track and monitor results and/or using VIP iDig / KARMA a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 + bonuses & allowances.

Salary offer will vary based on work experience.
