Overview

The Specialist HRBP will enable the HR transformation of moving from generalist to Strategic HRBPs by leading project initiatives that directly influence moving work to the appropriate responsible individuals (such as the Center of Excellence, Administration, Payroll, Data Management, etc.). This role will also oversee and support Tier 1 Employee and Labor Relations processes to drive consistency across the Market. This role is a direct feeder pool into other HRBP roles and/or COE Roles if so desired. As a member of the HR Team this individual will positively impact the organization by formulating and presenting actionable recommendations for consideration to significantly improve overall HR Processes and Drive Effective HR Solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide organizational development support for business teams and functions to achieve current and future business goals; proactively engage with the HRBP leaders on people strategy and effectively delivering strategy through workforce planning and organization design and structure
  • Provide support to HRBPs Employee and Labor Relations documentation such as Attendance Warnings, FMLA Follow Up Warnings/Documentation, Work Responsibility Violations (Ex: Route Sheets, Customer Service Mistakes, Delivery Non- Compliance with Pre-Trip Inspections)
  • Facilitate exit interviews, manage headcount reports, manage weekly new hire/onboarding, reporting, and help to coordinate Dream Orientation and training
  • Develop and maintain an HR base of knowledge including industry trends, best practices, and internal HR strategic initiatives to best support the local leadership team
  • Recommend solutions to varying levels of leadership using analytics and insights
  • Create and maintain all process maps for strategic initiatives and ensure they are embedded in the organization and reinforced until new behaviors evolve
  • Lead employees and managers as a change agent and lead local training initiatives across the market
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience working in an HR-related field
  • Ability to travel 5-10%

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
