Job Description


The Senior Director Digital Marketing Technology is an IT leader with a proven track record of leading a team to build, deliver, and support digital content platforms. The role requires technical expertise in a complex technology environment with strong business acumen and a strategic solutioning mindset. This person will have an architecture mindset with a focus on further enhancing the digital marketing product roadmap, eliminating technical debt, and continuously improving the capabilities of ETP. This leader will be the primary owner of the relationship with the Digital Marketing Product Team. The successful candidate will be a strong technology partner focused on delivering transformational business change in a fast-paced business environment that expects high quality delivery and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the development and support of digital marketing technologies in alignment with the SGWS digital roadmap

• Work in partnership with IT enterprise and solutions architects

• Participate in strategic planning processes and provide thought leadership around data-driven technologies and strategies encompassing B2B eCommerce & social digital marketing that enables Digital Marketing innovation and transformation

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Commercial: strategy, operations, and business intelligence along with other interrelated teams) for alignment

• Accountable for the day to day operations of the digital marketing platforms supported by ETP standard operating and support processes

• Accountable for performance and uptime of the solution as measured by department KPIs

• Develop and delivers a strong user experience driven by measured system performance

• Leverage ETP and industry-standard methodologies for project and product delivery and support

• Build a high-performing team which follows the DevOps model for software development focusing on both platform configuration and custom software development while also evolving and streamlining Scaled Agile methodologies to drive continuous improvement across multiple teams

• Deliver effective integration with in-house and packaged solutions while also recommending approaches to modernize legacy interfaces using innovative models such as microservices, etc.

• Own the responsibility of eliminating technical debt when new solutions are developed that can replace existing solutions. Champion reduced technical complexity and fully leveraging existing technology vs. introducing new solutions

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of IT professionals and third-party partners, that are geographically dispersed, transforming team members into the next generation of technology leaders, ensuring best-in-class capabilities, and leading them in best practices, including agile delivery, integration, delivery, and minimal downtime deployments

• Manage SGWS relationship with cloud-based technology providers and third-party partners that are part of the digital marketing ecosystem

• Bring innovative new technology solutions that drive value for product teams and support our Digital objectives

• Support the multi-year vision, product roadmap & implementation strategy of SGWS's digital platforms including architecting ahead of the SAFe program increments ensuring a clear product vision based on the digital roadmap

• Build strong relationships with product owners while partnering with the ETP team to ensure connectivity across functions and operations

• Operate with an enterprise IT mindset balancing digital marketing needs with the overall needs of SGWS while leveraging process and solutions required for interdependent operations

• Act as a coach and role model to support the evolution of the SAFe agile methodology

• Serve as a key partner for the broader digital marketing teams, sharing expertise, insights and enterprise perspective to help drive the company's objectives forward

• Ensure that complete digital marketing project portfolio is successfully executed, in regard to scope, budget, and timeliness of solution delivery

• Ensure all production applications impacting digital marketing execution meet performance, reliability and quality objectives

• Responsible for preparing, evaluating, and selecting technology and solution partners including working with the sourcing and vendor management teams and commercial stakeholders to negotiate and manage contracts and SOWs

• Responsible for securing and protecting SGWS, their customers, suppliers, and employees through DevSecOps with a strong focus on identity access management and data loss prevention to minimize risk

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree

• Competent with SAFe, Scrumban, XP, Kanban, Lean, and other Agile frameworks

• Continuous Improvement / Process Management experience (Agile, Six Sigma/LEAN, DMS) including relevant certification

• Competent with SAFe, Scrumban, XP, Kanban, Lean, and other Agile frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in relevant disciplines (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant degreed)

• 10+ years related experience in technology management, customer relationship management and staff management

• Demonstrable background working with technologies for analyzing large data sets

• Proven background in scaling digital technology platforms

• Strong expertise in cross-channel attribution with awareness of consumer protection laws and regulation

o Previous experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Adobe Marketing Cloud, and/or similar platforms
