Job Description

Overview

The Senior Director Commercial Engagement is responsible for strengthening, maintaining, and embedding with the commercial teams at the corporate, region, and state level and IT. Individuals in this role must be able to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills. This role will facilitate projects that allow us to work together more effectively using technology and process.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of commercial operations; including key value chain processes

• Understand and advocate for commercial IT needs

• Ensure needs are in alignment with other corporate processes and regions

• Facilitate and lead meetings for planning and execution of IT initiatives

• Lead commercial teams in prioritizing business requests

• Understand and communicate IT topics - decisions, status, timing, strategies, etc. across the functional teams and the entire region

• Provide guidance to the business on effectively leveraging technology

• Align business and corporate IT strategies for enhanced productivity

• Assist in the requirements gathering for IT initiatives

• Assist in developing of planning materials for IT initiatives

• Work with business project managers to ensure successful implementation of business and IT projects in the regions

• Ensure the smooth adoption of new technologies by the business communities

• Promote and support IT vision, values, services and capabilities

• Communicates with upper-management and internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.

• Work with business partners to ensure a fit for purpose solution is designed.

• Oversee and manage application development and maintenance across SGWS

• Maintains and develops strong understanding of functional partner needs and strategic priorities.

• Mentors, develops, motivates and coaches teams to work collaboratively and effectively

• Works cross functionally across ETP and outside of ETP with key business stakeholders in and outside of SGWS

• Applies significant knowledge of industry trends, developments, and capabilities to address and improve business capabilities.

• Keeps abreast of technological changes, trends and innovations in the information business applications/systems field and provides technical support and direction.

• Participates in industry peer groups to understand industry trends and implements and recommends best practice solutions.

• Drives process and technology changes throughout the organization in support of business objectives.

• Monitors technology investment, risk, and opportunity while providing clear and consistent communication to Sr. IT leadership.

• Manages and responds to business-partner feedback to enable continuous improvement.

• Communicate effectively up and down the organizational hierarchy in IT and business executive leadership .

• Educate ETP and business stakeholders on relevant technology capabilities to enable better IT solutions

***Please note we will accept candidates that will relocate to either South Florida or Dallas, TX***

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and formal education in relevant disciplines (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant degreed)

• 12+ years of business technology leadership/management role

• Strong track record of successful appointments in similar roles within IT

• History of strong client support through technology management

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree

• Continuous Improvement / Process Management experience (Agile, Six Sigma/LEAN, DMS) including relevant certification

• Experience in food and beverage, CPG or distribution industry
