What You Need To Know


The Sr. Analyst, Supplier Strategy will provide support for key strategic projects and the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the Supplier Development & Marketing (SDM) and SG+ Fine Wine and Craft Collection Spirits suppliers.  The role’s primary focus will be to will be to compile and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources across the portfolio of SDM and SG+ suppliers, while also supporting the development of supplier strategies to drive profitable growth and performance across the SGWS footprint.
This role will also be responsible for working day-to-day with SGWS Fleet Advertising third party vendors to validate contract compliance and track progress of advertising campaigns against agreed upon service levels.  The Senior Analyst, Supplier Strategy will also be responsible for all analytics of the Fleet advertising program.

Primary Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities


Supplier Strategy
•    Support Director and Manager of Supplier Strategy on enterprise-wide strategic supplier initiatives
•    Support the coordination of corporate initiatives and projects and efforts with regional teams, dedicated peers, and other cross-functional teams
•    Compile and leverage insights and analytics (both internal and external) for the SDM and SG+ suppliers to deliver solutions against their business and analytical needs along with new supplier 
     product performance and supplier rationalization reporting
•    Strong knowledge of SGWS analytical tools that support strategic supplier requests including Compass, SalesNav and Business Objects
•    Strong understanding of industry data sources and data such as Nielsen IQ and SipSource to support strategic supplier initiatives and internal leadership meetings
•    Collaborate with the Supplier Insights team to manage the supplier PACE planning process Ways of Working by working closely with the Commercial Planning team as well as the Regions and States to 
     set and maintain expectations
•    Assist in the Strategy team’s support of the SGWS Supplier Executive team including preparation and presentations for Top-to-Top meetings, Internal leadership meetings and Supplier QBRs 
•    Collaborate with the SDM Insights team to develop strong analytical capabilities while leveraging SGWS tools and technologies
•    Assist as needed in gathering commercial input and guidance on supplier RFP responses at the direction of the Supplier Sales & Marketing leadership team through collaboration with the Office of Strategic 
     Management on alignment expansion opportunities for corporately managed suppliers
•    Perform other job-related duties as assigned



Additional Primary Responsibilities


Fleet Advertising Program Management
•    Support the Sr. Manager, Supplier Strategy in all commercial and daily management aspects of the Fleet Advertising program 
•    Support the entire Fleet Advertising program process from initial inquiry through advertising installation
•    Serve as a key resource in the interaction with SGWS supplier marketing teams, sales teams and third-party advertising agencies
•    Work closely with the Corporate Fleet Management team to communicate fleet advertising availability to suppliers, regions and markets
•    Work with third-party agencies and vendors involved in the development and installation of all advertising wraps as needed
•    Responsible for the development of reporting to effectively track and evaluate on-hold, pending and active fleet advertising contracts for executive summaries
•    Complete fleet advertising contracts and work with the legal department, as needed
•    Work cross-functionally with the Accounting department to ensure all fleet advertising is being invoiced on-time and accurately

Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•    2-5 years of relevant analytics or business strategy experience
•    Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
•    Ability to travel domestically up to 25%
•    Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

•    Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration
•    Commercial Strategy and analytical experience / Strategic and analytical mindset
•    Ability to effectively manage projects that include both internal and external stakeholders
•    Strong understanding of general Nielsen concepts and tools such as Business Objects
•    Advanced level of analytical skills and the ability to use internal systems and syndicated data sources
•    Spirits/Wine Industry knowledge to include advanced knowledge of distribution, wine varietals and leading spirit categories preferred
•    Prioritization and decision-making skills
•    Working knowledge of regulations in major states
•    Working knowledge of market dynamics for wine & spirits
•    Working knowledge of chain dynamics for wine & spirits
•    Teamwork / cross-functional collaboration
•    Communication and influencing skills

•    Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor)
•    Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
•    Critical nature of this job may require extended hours, overtime, and weekends
•    May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
