
The Principal Network Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, configuration, implementation, testing and transition to steady state support of the Network. They will partner with peer engineering teams and INFOSEC organization, on network security best practices, process, standards, and configuration management. The Principal Network Engineer evaluates vendor supplied hardware, components, and software packages for fit and performance and makes recommendations to IT management. The Engineer maintains technical documentation for the network architecture and standards. The Engineer will evaluate and maintain network infrastructure to minimize risk and maximize performance and stability. They will contribute to the compiling and presentation of data showing the strengths, weaknesses, risks, and areas of improvement. The role is responsible for evaluating data and delivering solutions that are stable, secure, scalable, and cost effective, as well providing escalation support and incident response.
