What You Need To Know


The Omnichannel eCommerce Manager will be responsible for executing SGWS’s eCommerce efforts with customers. Through collaboration with the SGWS national & regional account teams, understand account priorities, ensure that new items and priority SGWS SKUs are operational on the site, and sell in eMerchandising into accounts that have online promotional opportunities for beverage alcohol.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct account evaluations to assess eCommerce capability and the ability for SGWS to influence digital shelf performance, eMerchandising share, and online assortment gains. Prioritize resource allocation against accounts with available ePOS data
  • Tailor existing eCommerce capabilities and digital marketing support to optimize content and digital shelf performance
  • Manage and grow account relationships directly and in partnership with the national account selling & customer development teams
  • Develop & deliver eCommerce sales presentations, incorporating eCommerce category insights & customer specific eCommerce sales data as needed
  • Deliver wine & spirits shopper insights & analytic support to influence merchandising, customer taxonomy, navigation & search to increase discoverability of SGWS priority brands
  • Work in close collaboration with content resolution analysts to ensure that our suppliers' brands have a best in class digital footprint at the omnichannel retailer
  • Create and manage ongoing programming calendar with omnichannel & digital only opportunities that are aligned with customer’s omnichannel priorities
  • Work with suppliers to bring digital investment & new eCommerce support solutions to enable to grow eCommerce share and eCommerce as a % of total sales

  • Create customer eCommerce FAQ’s for SGWS account teams to communicate content requirements & merchandising opportunities to supplier partners
  • Track account performance & highlight progress for monthly performance presentations to internal and supplier stakeholders
  • Work closely with suppliers to align on eCom priorities and support needed to win eCommerce share in the account; given quickly changing account technology and digital marketing opportunities
  • Build & manage relationships with customer’s content, digital site merchants, and operations team members
  • Partner with B2C eCommerce content resolution analyst to identify & deliver upon customer content requirements
  • Partner with Digital Shelf analyst to monitor and act on digital shelf opportunities in inventory, pricing, share of search, etc. for accounts with ePOS data
