
The Business Objects Analytics Manager acts as a visible leader in shaping, developing, and delivering analytics for SGWS through a combination of data skills and business knowledge
using SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ). Responsibilities include leading projects, proactively applying a deep understanding of the relationship between business drivers and best practices
and delivery of highly technical work in a fast-paced environment. The BO Analytics manager will act as representative of the team, provide advanced user support, update documentation,
and report development/maintenance. The Analytics manager will leverage a diverse array of technical and business skills to deliver on the analytic priorities of SGWS.
Service Delivery
• Provide technical support, analysis assistance and training for BusinessObjects suite of tools to Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits internal customer base.
• Design and develop complex reports using SAP BusinessObjects 4.2 Web Intelligence
• Strong Knowledge in Writing SQL and PL SQL
• Excellent understanding of User Security in Business Objects any additional knowledge on SAP BO
• Experience with trouble shooting production issues, user reports and data issues to resolve root cause issues
• Follow department client service strategies and standards related to ways of working, service level agreements and providing positive customer experiences
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and other support staff
• Share BOBJ knowledge Share BOBJ knowledge and best practices across the user base.
• Research industry trends and suggest ways of improving BI applications (system and UI)
• Keep up to date on latest SAP BO products how company can leverage to meet user needs.
• SAP Business Objects Reporting and Data Visualization experience using Web Intelligence and Dashboards.
• Experience using Derived tables, Universe restrictions, and Aggregate_Awareness features in Designer.
• Expertise in dimensional data modeling, Star Schema modeling, fact and dimensional table design, physical and logical data modeling.
• Develop business and technical subject matter on business processes and systems
• Lead project workstreams and provide guidance on building of database tables, views, dimensions, and measures.
Planning
• Collect and document application enhancement needs
• Perform requirement analysis; provide effort estimation Comprehensive knowledge of SDLC and QA/Testing methodologies and deliverables.
• Support the definition and scope for the deployment of BOBJ tools at SGWS
• Update technical and functional documentation such as operational procedures, SharePoint site, assist in BRD (Business Requirements Document), etc.
• Performs highly complex ad-hoc analysis using appropriate tools for the task
• Work may include the development of supervised and unsupervised models and advanced analytics to aid in business decision making using various BI tools.
Qualifications
• Minimum 8 years business analysis, business intelligence experience or equivalent
• Minimum 8-year hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects 4.3 to include WEBI, Information Design Tool (IDT).
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to analyze complex business reporting requirements and develop innovative solutions
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both technical and non-technical individuals
• Strong client service orientation (customer support experience preferred)
• Ability to execute cross-functional projects
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable speaking/presenting to groups
• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• Leads highly complex projects within the team and/or acts as a key contributor in strategic initiatives across Empower functions.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines
• Experience researching and defining integrations between multiple systems
• Experience building processes, project management, and software development release schedules
• Acts as a primary ambassador for the data and technical solutions and capabilities of the broader team to support decision-making and information needs of Empower executives and/or external partners.
• Ability to present data-driven insights to business management and leadership to influence decisions and strategy
• Ability to leverage nebulous and disparate data sources to tell the story of the business.

This role will require travel up to 25%
