Analyst Vendor Management

The Analyst Vendor Management is responsible for supporting the execution of a specific IT process (i.e. Communications, Vendor Management, Asset Management, Telecommunications, Business Applications, Service Delivery, etc.) in response to business needs and requests. Role gathers and interprets data, defines, monitors, and coordinates processes and process documentation (process flows), drives standardization. Can resolve transaction / data/ process discrepancies. Identify, monitor, and coordinate activities and/or KPIs. Helps to determine opportunities to automate, streamline, and standardize data and or processes. 

Specialized Skills and Technologies

  • In-depth knowledge of IT vendor credit programs, and the ability to manage usage of such credits for training and other purposes
  • In-depth knowledge of building and utilizing vendor scorecards to assess vendor performance and health
  • Ability to organize and co-facilitate executive-level vendor business review meetings
  • Requires knowledge of key IT vendor business practices and technologies to assist in handling vendor issues and driving them to closure

Primary Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data
  • Define, monitor, and coordinate processes and process documentation as well as other analytical activities and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Track and reconcile data including resolution of discrepancies in transactions, data sources, and processes to minimize errors and drive standardization
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify, analyze, understand, and prioritize activities by business value and urgency
  • Help find and support opportunities to automate, streamline, and standardize data and processes
  • Submit relevant routine and ad-hoc reports to relevant department heads and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of work experience and education
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision-making and quantitative analysis skills
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills to process large numbers of invoices
  • Understanding of IT processes and ability to translate and communicate technical concepts into business language
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationship and collaboration across different departments, sometimes virtually

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
