About The Position
Simply Gum is a New York based confections brand. We’re looking for a full-time Sales Operations Manager to further drive sales and increase our brand’s awareness. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, fast paced company!
Simply Gum is a New York based confections brand. We’re looking for a full-time Sales Operations Manager to further drive sales and increase our brand’s awareness. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, fast paced company, during its early stages of growth. You'll be exposed to multiple aspects of the business and will have the opportunity to advance within the company, as we expand.

We’re seeking someone who is passionate about natural food. Someone who is as scrappy as they are thorough and as creative as they are analytical. You’ll be working with a fun and energetic team and reporting to the Director of Sales. And of course, you’ll be chewing lots of gum and popping lots of mints.

The role will include:
  • Working with our Director of Sales to manage our global retail accounts, including identifying ways to increase velocity and developing promotional strategy
  • Identifying and pitching prospective accounts
  • Preparing internal reports including weekly and monthly sales updates
  • Managing our broker, distributor, and merchandising efforts
  • Managing a team of field representatives as well as third party vendors
  • Building revenue forecasts, sales budgets, and analyzing large amounts of data 
  • Collaborating closely with our Marketing and Operations team on various initiatives
  • Traveling to retailer meetings, trade shows, and industry events

Your experience is:
  • 2-5 years sales experience within a CPG brand
  • Highly analytical
  • Ability to work quickly and independently 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (email, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Strong work ethic, no task too small or too large
  • High level of independence and desire to take initiative
  • Outgoing, confident, polished
  • A natural salesperson, great at building relationships and communicating, both in person and on the phone
