The Sales Planning Analyst is the HQ presence of specific regions of the sales team and serves as the key lead in working with the field team to transform customer specific plans or strategic requests into actionable plans for each customer. The role will also work with field sales to build bottom-up business plans that align with our annual budget objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Sales Planning Analyst is the HQ presence of specific regions of the sales team and serves as the key lead in working with the field team to transform customer specific plans or strategic requests into actionable plans for each customer. The role will also work with field sales to build bottom-up business plans that align with our annual budget objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist the field in creating bottoms up sales plan as part of the planning cycle and monitor the execution and performance of the plan
- Work with assigned team members to enter, maintain, and update promo events in the trade planner
- Participate in weekly calls on forecast accuracy, trade rate management, and budget execution with the sales team to achieve budget goals
- Work with accounts receivable to handle open deductions and missing contracts
- Validate funding at customer & region level through ROI process and AMPS execution including slotting, pricing compliance, promotional events, etc
- Review customer and channel funding allocation is reconciled on a monthly basis
- Support the monthly S&OP process on behalf of sales by preparing key meeting inputs and gathering field sales inputs for key company initiatives
- Strong understanding of all channels including: Natural, Grocery, Mass, Club, & eCommerce
- Perform additional duties as requested/assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with business analysis, developing customer plans, & category management
- Strong organizational & problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and Powerpoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with IRI, Nielsen and SPINS a plus
