Craft Massachusetts is a member of the Sheehan Family Companies and a preeminent beverage distributor in the Metro Boston, Central Mass and Western Mass territories. Founded in 2002, Craft Mass was originally focused on a vast portfolio of craft beer, imports and artisanal ciders, however in March 2012, the Blueprint Brands division was established to target the growing category of craft spirits. Today, the Blueprint Brands wine and spirits division is growing aggressively and is looking to add key personnel to help catapult this growth.

Objective: This position is central to the growth of the Blueprint Brands Division of Wine & Spirits. Ensure the successful sale, distribution and market share capture for the entire wine and spirits portfolio from Blueprint Brands throughout the Metro Boston territory. This individual will be responsible for developing new business at current no-buy accounts along with maintaining and growing an existing account list.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Sales Rep Duties
  • Develop and leverage effective customer relations and promote the goodwill of the Company
  • Successful sale, distribution and placement of all products
  • Effective accounts receivable collections within corporate credit policy
  • Conduct promotions in accounts on a regular basis and when required
  • Develop new accounts and new placements, driving growth in current accounts and opening up opportunities for relationships in new accounts
  • Organize and execute point of sale materials at all accounts, properly merchandising with permanent and paper POS
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding credit, delivery, product information and other inquiries
  • Execute monthly and quarterly goals as related to business activities
  • Maintain a regular schedule of weekly appointments with accounts in assigned territory
  • Assist in the development and expansion of the product portfolio
  • Handle deliveries, as required


General:
  • Identify sales opportunities for all Blueprint brands
  • Assist in the selling of the entire Craft Massachusetts' portfolio when applicable
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of territory and market conditions
  • Work alongside general sales team to field and follow up on leads, consult on beverage programs, and be available to for supplemental tasting appointments and product information
  • team expenses and keeping within budget
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree OR substantial work with spirits in an off-premise or on-premise setting
  • Direct experience in beverage industry, specifically with wine and spirits
  • Ability and willingness to work in both a team environment and independently
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Travel required: 5 days a week in the trade, within assigned territory
  • Valid and clean driver's license in the state of MA, with active auto insurance
  • WSET Spirits, Level 2 or willingness to achieve
