Job Description/Responsibilities

T he Materials Coordinator is responsible for maintaining adequate on hand inventories of production components (bottles, caps, bulk, etc). Tasks involved in this include: submitting releases to suppliers for component deliveries, entering production booking for finished goods, booking reworked goods, conducting and reconciling cycle counts, and entering materials receipts.

  • Meet internal and external customer requirements by ensuring that raw materials are available to meet the production schedule and to satisfy customer requests. Provide forecast to suppliers, weekly glass releases, order bulk supplies, expedite shipments. Manage outside services for repacks and inter company transfers.
  • Support bottling operations by ensuring materials are available to support the production schedule. Zero downtime due to material issues. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
  • Always working to improve processes. Participated in the Aurora launch and is part of the WMS Implementation for components at all sites. Working to improve rework reporting and booking. Manage bulk tanker inventories to avoid demurrage charges..
  • Responsible for releasing glass, PET, caps, etc. from suppliers in time for production. Daily production booking. Reconciling daily booking discrepancies and component inventories. Monitor liquid bulk inventories, issue purchase orders and coordinate deliveries.
  • Utilize the priority system to enable me to focus on a few key priorities that will grow the company faster.
  • Support new business development by coordinating receipt of materials with production schedule.
  • Implement a PDS that will improving at least 1 compentency per year and improving performance against position description outcomes.
  • Develop a Career plan to achieve overall career objectives. Continue to work on existing career development plans that have been previously set up.


Qualifications/Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively across business units and through supplier partners
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years successful work experience, at a minimum
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • APICS Certification or Six Sigma Certification
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in Customer Service
  • Undergraduate degree or commensurate experience
