About The Position
Manage the wine and liquor portfolio across wholesaler network that covers majority of NY State geography with focus in driving distribution in all key MCA’s. This position can be based in Albany, Saratoga, Syracuse, Rochester or Buffalo.

Summary: To manage the wine and liquor portfolio across wholesaler network that covers the vast majority of NY State geography with focus in driving distribution in all key MCA’s.

Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation): 
  • Leverage our collective scale and allow us to become more efficient with our current suppliers as well as become a more attractive partner to new suppliers.·       
  • Realize economies of scales with freight costs and inventory levels across our network.·       
  • Manage the alliance expectations with each wholesaler.    
  • Supplier Relationship and Recruitmento   
  • Work to provide quality brands that will provide volume and revenue to ECA
  • Communicate sales results and provide monthly recaps 
  • Initiate Supplier incentives – sales / distribution. 
  • Encourage suppliers to develop Training and Tasting programs designed to better educate network.    
  • Assist with Order and Inventory Management.  
  • Brand label registration and wholesale posting management coordination.  
  • Champion the master filing for the ECA to attract new partners.    
  • Time in market to help build and train our in-house wine and liquor teams. (See schedule below)    
  • Conduct Business reviews with ECA leadership.     
  • Assist in the management of brand portfolios and direction across the network
  • Consistent communication across the entire network.     
  • Management and coordination of network meetings and sharing of best practices.  
  • Knowledge of importing products, brand registration etc. to help make brands exclusive to the network.       
  • Establish a schedule to hold regular business reviews with ECA leadership.    
  • Scheduled Market visits.
  • Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • 10+ years of experience in Wine and Spirit sales.      
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.      
  • Basic computer skills.
  • The desire to perform job duties in a fast pace, quick changing entrepreneurial environment.      
Language Skills: 
  •  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.       
Mathematical Skills:  
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.       
Computer Skills:  
  • Excellent PC/Laptop skills required. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; order processing systems; spreadsheet software and Work Processing software.  Excel skills. 
Other Skills and Abilities
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
Physical Requirements:
