About The Position
The Key Account Manager must be a highly motivated individual who will manage key on and off premise accounts in their territory.
  • Build the brand Sagamore – Must be able to articulate and be passionate about our great brand and story
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with bartenders, account managers and account owners
  • Manage a targeted number of on premise and retail key accounts within geographical area. 
    • Approximately 75-100 targeted accounts broken down as follows:
      • MAINTENANCE accounts = current top Sagamore accounts where we need to keep business running smoothly
      • GROWTH accounts = good high-velocity accounts that do some business with Sagamore, but have potential to much more
      • DEVELOPMENTAL accounts = good high-velocity accounts where we belong, but currently do not have volume.  (This list will evolve as opportunities arise.)
  • Execute key sales visibility drivers across key account base including: distribution, back bar visibility, menus, features, staff trainings and POS merchandising
  • Work with distributor reps in field 1-2 times per week with focus on building rep’s understanding and knowledge of Sagamore products, as well as joint account business building and execution
  • Attend and be prepared to attend (and potentially lead) all General Sales Meetings in market
  • Manage POS ordering and POS inventory management
  • Manage T&E budget
  • Non traditional hours including nights and weekends. (Weeknight and weekend events, trade shows, activations and off premise tastings)
Skill Requirements and Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, alcohol industry preferred
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of computer skills including Power Point, Excel and Word
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Have knowledge in Class B wholesale management, KP Goal Achievements, forecasting practices and working with retail to sell in and maintain shelf and display standards
  • Demonstrated success building partnerships across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines
  • Organize deliverables in a clean and presentable format
  • Ability to grow within company and take on management role in the future
  • Think and act like an entrepreneur
  • Must have daily access to your own vehicle
