Position Title: Vice President, Portfolio Finance

Location: New York, NY (Headquarters)

Position Summary:

The position of Vice President, Portfolio Finance is responsible for management and direction of all financial/business analysis functions for PRUSA, ensuring accurate and timely information for executive decisions. Provides leadership to business planning, financial analysis and finance systems staff locally. Leads continuous development of financial management decision support systems. This role plays a pivotal role to help drive the execution of the commercial and marketing plans.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Leads all business planning and portfolio financial analysis activities consisting of the following:

  • Oversees the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategic planning process for the brand unit
  • Understand business environment to properly identify potential financial implications, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful information is available for key executive decision-making
  • Actively monitor and manage risks, to implement actions and mitigation plans
  • Help define Portfolio Financial Strategies across brands and categories
  • Oversee communication/interaction with Brand Companies

  • Manage the brand unit resources

  • Oversee portfolio and brand profitability and investment vs. budget/LE and previous year and identifying key drivers of variances.
  • Develop relevant and insightful analysis and develop robust processes to ensure an optimized resource allocation and effective spends

  • Serve as a strategic business partner for an agile and collaborative organization

  • Drive efficiency, managing the relevant teams through the Management Planning Cycles
  • Build sustainable efficient and effective systems in (i) ways of working and (ii) processes

  • Manage and develop a high-class team, driving clear responsibilities, development and career planning within the group.

    Nature & Scope:

    The role consistently works with executives and senior leaders across the company and is accountable for monitoring financial performance and ensuring that senior management is aware of any deviations from meeting financial targets. Primary responsibility is to oversee all aspects of financial and business performance management for PR USA and is a key strategic business partner to sales & marketing. Will interact with all levels of the PRUSA organization inclusive of finance staff at PRNA and Corporate headquarters as well as with Brand Companies.


    Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree. An MBA either Finance or related field is preferred.

    Experience / Background: Minimum 15+ years of experience with a CPG/Consulting company and a working knowledge of the principals of finance and marketing.

    Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong people management skills, including the ability and desire to lead, support and develop direct reports.
  • Excellent communication skills & ability to interact & provide recommendations to senior stakeholders including strong presentation skills that outline a clear message and recommendation.
  • Detail orientated strategic thinker.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while managing numerous work streams simultaneously to tight timelines;
  • Ability to use the power of facts to bring insight make clear finance recommendations and commercial decisions;
  • Able to confidently interact with non-finance departments, understanding their key requirements and tailoring financial data to satisfy these requirements;
  • Strong influencing skills, proactive in challenging and influencing the business based on insight, knowledge and fact;
  • Ability to understand business dynamics and be able to clearly articulate strategic priorities for the business from a finance perspective;
  • Ability to grow high talent teams

  • Working Conditions:

    General Office: Work is performed in a typical office environment. Limited demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.

    Travel: Occasional; Estimate: 15 % of time
