The salary range for this role, based in New York is $130,400 to $195,600, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

The position of Senior Finance Manager, Business Planning & Analysis is a critical role in Pernod Ricard USA organization. As the primary Finance Business coordinator for the organization, his key objective is to coordinate all teams across US and the region to produce US and regional P&L for the upcoming 18 months, balancing current risks and opportunities for each P&L line and driver.

Major Responsibilities

Financial Planning

  • Create and ensure governance clarity, understanding and visibility of Reforecast (RF) process while supporting organization evolving ways of working
  • Manage monthly Reforecast process from planning to final deliverable:
  • Develop timeline, set up checkpoints / workshops with key stakeholders to drive progress
  • Coordinate and track team progress to ensure proper sequencing
  • Identify teams' roadblocks and act as a resource to solve problems (be resourceful and creative)
  • Review teamwork and challenge financials to ensure development of strong financials
  • Influence and navigate multiple stakeholders to gain alignment on key decisions and move forward
  • Leverage strong presentation skills to develop executive-level presentations to communicate results

  • Risks & Opportunities Management

  • Maintain frequent and open discussion with broader teams and mostly with Finance Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis on state of the business and any developing R&O's
  • Properly track risks and opportunities across the organization to support risk mitigation decision making throughout the planning cycles
  • Monitor, analyze and deliver PR USA and PR North America Region RF P&L, including tracking and analyzing of the performance vs LEs and previous RF on a timely manner
  • Work in collaboration and maintain strong relationships with Operations, Accounting, Portfolio and Commercial finance teams to ensure full coordination and full financials and their analysis
  • Ensure reliable, accurate and timely financial statements performance data for financial communication to the group (COMEX, QBR's, RF)
  • Collaborates with Operation Excellence team on all transformation initiatives and systems development needed. Work with IT to ensure systems, process, tools are set-up in order to ensure smooth planning cycles and updates needed from latest reporting requirements
  • Manage and develop two direct reports, ensure clarity on roles and responsibilities as well as clear development plans and career mapping
  • Manage the relationship with Paris HQ, Corby and N. America Accounting teams

  • Requirements

    Experience / Background

  • Minimum 7+ years in a financial planning and analysis or commercially focused business analytics role with demonstrable career progression
  • High level of comfort with planning, budgeting and forecasting, navigating and managing a financial P&L, delivering insight-driven commercial analysis
  • Experience in relationship management and driving improvements in process and ways of working
  • Industry experience preferable but not essential

  • A true business partner, able to confidently interact with other departments and understand and balance key priorities and needs of all stakeholders
  • Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to manage numerous and competing work streams simultaneously, to tight and often overlapping timelines
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels to a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Understand market dynamics and be able to clearly articulate strategic priorities for the business from both a finance & commercial perspective
  • Strong accounting & reporting skills
  • High attention to detail, while maintaining sight of the big picture and understanding of "why"
  • Strong influencing skills, proactive in challenging current ways of working in order to achieve better results in a more efficient manner

  • Highly motivated with a "roll-up the sleeves and get the job done" mentality, can work with autonomy
  • Accountable and takes responsibility for own outputs and outputs of immediate team; Can prioritize and make clear choices

  • Good relationship building and communication skills; able to drive collaboration across teams

  • Education

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • MBA preferred

  • Estimated Travel: Limited - position is office based. 1-2 weeks per year as needed for seminars or company events
