Job Title: Market Manager - New York (Upstate - West)

Reports To: New York Region Director

Department: Sales

Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to deliver, drive, and execute PRUSA's brand strategy designated for the Upstate New York Market. This incumbent will be responsible for owning and driving the distributor and account plan, execution, promotional activity, and influence pricing and programming, while leading SGWS distributor partners to sell and execute against that plan. This position requires close work with the PRUSA Director New York, PRUSA Market Activation Team, SGWS Sales Directors, SGWS Area Managers, SGWS Sales Reps, ALD Team (BDMs) and Operations. This role is designed to execute and deliver plans to achieve PRUSA ambition.


  • Manages distributor communication and programs while working within the context of the markets selling strategies & tactics.
  • Works with distributor sales team to ensure proper execution and education of PRUSA brands and strategy.
  • Yield's relationships with key customers and trade to ensure PRUSA is winning in priority accounts.
  • Leads with insights and customer first approach to category selling opportunities with PRUSA brands portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Sales Directors and Area Managers in establishing volume and value programs to achieve PRUSA ambition.
  • Work closely with the Distributor Full Book and PRUSA Dedicated teams to execute the program and plans in priority accounts.
  • Works within budget parameters of brand & state & resources to deliver on key pricing, distribution, programming, brand KPI's & overall management of the business.
  • Work with state leaders on pricing & promotional budgets to support programming and Revenue Growth Management initiatives.
  • Implement ways of working, process and scorecards monthly reviews with Sales Directors and AMs.
  • Influence the annual planning process for the assigned account base.
  • Sell-in, survey and implement regional sales, marketing, and brand priorities.
  • Coordinate state and distributor communication as it relates to programming, performance, post-program analysis, etc.
  • Lead marketing and product innovations in assigned account base through KPI benchmarking & tracking.
  • Manage, implement and track innovation and VAP execution for the assigned account base.
  • Conduct present at monthly business meetings and distributor GSMs.

  • Key requirements:

    Education: Bachelor's Degree required.

    Experience / Background:

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales serving a large number of diverse retailers.

  • Experience with distributors and direct key account or channel responsibility is required.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated success in distributor management, customer management and field operations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to command an audience while delivering presentations.
  • Business and Analytical Acumen

  • Working Conditions:

    Physical Environment: Work is performed in a typical field environment with moderate demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage. Frequent travel by land and/or air in diverse weather conditions is required.

    Travel: Estimate: 25% of time.
