Job Title: Market Manager, New York - Wines, Champagnes & Prestige

Position Summary: The key responsibilities of this position are acting as expert at the market level, obtaining disproportionate distributor share of mind to grow KPIs as designated in AOP, orchestrating channel sell-through activities with Field Trade Marketing and distributor teams, create and maintain key market relationships inclusive of key distributor and customers that provide influence in market dynamic, provide performance measurement accountability to dedicated teams thru leadership selling, programming and KPI execution of national programming expectations

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Business Analysis, Business Planning & Performance: 10%

  • Act as market level expert. Manage day-to-day performance thru PRUSA, distributor information systems and local market data. Monitor progress against channel specific objectives and suggest course correction where necessary thru the market team.

  • Distributor Management:30%

  • Lead the communication to the distributor resources in regards to PRUSA Ways of Working, tactical programs and overall
  • strategic imperatives. Manage all local resources to obtain a disproportionate share of mind to concentrate on growing KPIs as designated in AOP. Conduct "work-withs" with distributor selling organization to ensure execution against KPIs.

  • Selling Activities:45%

  • Orchestrate sell-through activities with distributor resources in market. Work with distributor team to leverage, and ensure proper execution of all assigned sales activities. Create and maintain key market relationships thru focused customers and distributor engagement to maximize awareness for PR USA and the brand portfolio in the market.

  • Training: 15%

  • Provide for training of distributor reps and retailers on Pernod Ricard USA brands and target consumers; including use of ambassador and other educational resources.

  • Nature & Scope: Position typically works with regional sales managers, field trade marketing managers and distributor management/brokers in addition to maintaining close contact with key members of the trade. Communication can include sensitive information, requiring confidentiality and discretion in dealings with contacts. Incumbent plans activities for this position yearly/monthly with individual initiative in daily routine. Decisions impact the department and organization as a whole, and errors may cause significant expense and volume losses to the entire organization.


    Education : Bachelor's degree required; additional training in MS-Office as necessary.

    Experience/ Background : Experience/ Background : Position requires 5-7 years of previous sales management experience in a wine and spirit or consumer goods sales environment

    Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical field environment, with moderate demands for movement and lifting. Frequent travel to customer sites is required. Must have valid driver's license.
