Position Title: Manager, National Chains Customers
Location: Remote - within the Texas market

Position Summary: Plan, develop, communicate, sell, and implement national strategic initiatives and brand priorities in assigned National Chain Customers in close coordination with division sales, marketing teams and distributors. Leverage effective regional ideas in developing national level sales tactics. Develop specific account level sales and marketing strategies in concert with division marketing and the distributor, enabling tailored marketing plans for accounts falling within focus vicinities. Responsibilities will include creating customer level metrics to evaluate sales performance, establishing compliance metrics to enable monitoring of distributor follow-through, and strengthening and building relationships with key retailers in a defined number of regional accounts in the market. Coordinates pricing, negotiates and takes ownership of all programs that affect national accounts.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Business Analysis Planning & Performance:
Deliver customer AOP by hitting the profit and volume targets. Accountable for retail customer plans and budgets. Ensures ROI analysis is completed against customer activities and initiatives. Provide standard monthly updates on strategic imperatives to DWD. Manage market level pricing plan on a monthly basis.
Distributor Management and Key Customer Sales Programming:
Reinforce PRUSA needs and WOW in line with distributor framework. Lead monthly performance management reviews. Build strong business relationships with target customers through vertical customer integration as well as distributor account executives and management. Ensure PRUSA strategic customer imperatives including national, regional and local KPIs are being achieved in line with AOP. Ensure distributor teams (overlay and general) are provided PRUSA based training inclusive of account level expectations and accountabilities. Actively engage in shaping the distributor dedicated (where applicable) culture and WOW to drive maximum performance. Take ownership of entire team.
Own market level forecasts. Provide accurate and timely forecasts to RM and DWD's on case volume, value, budgets and profitability. Execute the plan while accurately forecasting monthly expectations on volume and spend.
Training: Provide training of distribution reps, account executives and retailers on Pernod Ricard USA brands and target consumers; including use of ambassadors and other educational resources
Nature & Scope (Including Dimensions):
Position typically works with the Division Wine Directors, Region Managers, Field Trade Marketing Managers, Brand Managers, Brand Ambassadors, Distributor Key Contact and Local Account Manager, and Brand Directors. Contacts also include brokers and PR USA vendor providers. Incumbent plans activities for this position bi-monthly, with individual initiative in daily routine. Decisions have national impact and can significantly affect the performance and profitability of Pernod Ricard USA.
Education : Bachelor's degree required.
Experience/Background : A minimum of 5-7 plus years of proven success in sales serving a large number of diverse retailers; ideally, experience with distributors and direct key account or channel responsibility.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical field environment, with moderate demands for movement and lifting. Frequent travel to customer sites is required.
