Position Title: Manager, Channel & Shopper Marketing - Drug Stores

Position Summary
The Channel & Shopper Marketing Manager for Drug Stores will play an important role in the PR USA media-to-shelf marketing transformation. This position serves as a sub-channel expert and conduit to the Brand and Field teams for shopper insights and in-depth customer understanding for Drug Store Liquor. The Channel & Shopper Marketing Manager owns the creation of multi-brand programs and the communication of national programs and priorities to the field, supporting and influencing the brand planning process upfront with relevant, data-driven shopper/customer insights. This role also supports PR USA's Chains team serving as the key strategic and insights partner in customer-specific channel plans and programming. The Channel & Shopper Marketing Manager is a key thought partner for the Channel & Shopper Marketing Director for Grocery, Drug, Club & Convenience Liquor.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Channel Strategy & Plan Development:
Identifying, utilizing, consolidating, and distributing shopper and channel insights for for Drug Store Liquor sub-channel , including data and analytics insights, channel purchase triggers, channel execution standards, and prioritiesDeveloping and utilizing channel insights and implications in channel plans and program briefing processSupporting Chain sales team in customer-specific program adaptations and ground up programs, where requiredAssisting Field and Brand in creation of locally developed programs to capitalize on these market opportunities by providing existing assets that can be adapted to local contextSupports Director in the development of a Formal Strategy for their sub-ChannelFamiliar with Customer strategy to determine how Shopper Insights and Channel Strategy can support that Customer's StrategyChain Customer Support:
Support Chain team by providing key channel and shopper insights to facilitate portfolio and programming prioritizationCreate and deliver "execution-ready" channel specific programs to Chain team and customize to customer requirements where needed/warrantedIncorporate Chain customer feedback on program effectiveness and impact (ROI).Attend key customer meetings and present shopper insights and marketing programs where neededCollaborate with eCommerce BU in the development of customer specific eCommerce plan and programming to ensure world-class omni-channel programs for their respective customerProvides insights and information in support of the Director for JBP Meetings with their customers.Acts as the "Insights Expert" for Customer TeamsPortfolio Management & Multi-Brand Programming:
Creating multi-brand / portfolio programs for channel and executing priorities for multi and single-brand programs; collaborating with agencies on program developmentEnsuring Brand standards (e.g., shelving, pricing) and guidelines are continuously updated and communicated to Field and Chain Sales teamsEnsuring Brand creative content guidelines are being followed in marketCreating and distributing materials (e.g., calendars, buy book, shell selling decks) with geographic options embedded in each with sub-channel specific solutionsPulling and leveraging syndicated data to inform strategy and salesdecksCreating assets for Trade Development teamLiaison between Shopper Insights Team and respective customer teamRequired Competencies

The role requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across functions with passion and enthusiasm. Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree - preferably in Marketing or Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing; Proficiency in a wide array of office software platforms (MS Outlook & Office)Experience / Background: Minimum 5-10 years of work experience in relevant Channel/Shopper marketing capacity, with exposure to National/Regional Customer building activities. Preferred previous work experience in sales or selling environment. Demonstrated understanding of how to anchor national multi-brand programs in sound channel/shopper insights.Travel: This position may travel up to 30% of the timeWho are we?
