Position Title: Coordinator, External Corporate Brand & Digital

Location: New York, NY (Headquarters)

Position Summary: The Coordinator, External Corporate Brand and Digital provides critical support in implementing and coordinating external Corporate Communications initiatives at Pernod Ricard USA. The role reports to the Director, Reputation, and supports the day-to-day work done by both the Manager, Reputation (Owned Media) and the Senior Manager, Reputation (Earned Media/Issues and Crisis Management). The person in this role will lead day-to-day execution of always on publicity, crisis and issues management, executive visibility and thought leadership for the PRUSA Corporate Brand and its key executives and spokespeople. Other responsibilities will include day-to-day management of our Agency of Record as well as ensuring accurate and strategic measurement and reporting. The person in this role also will lead day-to-day execution across external platforms including, but not limited to, social media, website, and other owned platforms.

Major Responsibilities /Accountabilities

Public Relations/Publicity

  • Responsible for circulating relevant media opportunities and wins to key stakeholders
  • Front-line responsibility for inbound press inquiries, including researching and drafting proposed press responses
  • Maintain an online library of media briefings and coverage, for use in creating messaging and crafting story pitches
  • Assist with crafting written external outreach materials (e.g. key messages, press releases)
  • Ensure the agency has all appropriate resources and materials to conduct outreach/pitching
  • Lead media monitoring
  • Create and maintain the Pernod Ricard USA Master Media List

  • Executive Visibility

  • Record CEO + CODI briefings and convert them into narratives for interviews and fodder for future story pitches
  • Coordinate media and speaking opportunities for key executives and spokespeople including overseeing all logistics (ie. scheduling, IT, prep documents etc.)
  • Coordinate story-mining sessions with key executives and spokespeople to identify narratives and talking points for relevant opportunities
  • Coordinate Media Training Sessions as needed

  • Issues and Crisis Management

  • Update and maintain all issues and crisis playbooks and supporting documents
  • Coordinate issues and crisis responses and relevant assets and approvals with AOR and internal stakeholders (legal, public affairs etc.)

  • Digital + Social Content

  • Collaborate across the communications function to leverage, amplify and create supporting assets to strengthen storytelling (e.g. owned content)
  • Social Media Community Management (responding to messages, proactively engaging, identifying potential crisis issues)
  • Responsible for maintaining the content calendar for each platform
  • Manage all updates and changes of the corporate website such as our Brands, our Innovations, Financial Publications, People and News and coordinate with relevant internal parties
  • Proactively surface trends or timely ideas for new content types and/or series
  • Proactively coordinate with brand teams on relevant campaigns, innovation etc. for amplification on corporate channels
  • Assist with content production as needed (photo/video shoots, light graphic design/photography)
  • Support measurement and reporting on platforms

  • Customer Communication

  • Assist with execution of Podcast, Webinars and Newsletters
  • Responsible for maintaining Customer Communications editorial calendar
  • Support measurement and reporting on platforms

  • Team Support

  • Ensure proper filing of documents, talking points, creative, etc.
  • Assist as needed with strategy development exercises (this may include note taking, conducting research, coordinating interviews etc.)
  • Assist with budget management activities
  • Project management
  • Ad-hoc Requests: Provide overall support to department on an as-needed basis such as specificresearch, projects, scheduling, budgets etc.

  • Job Requirements:

    The role requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Strong willingness to learn, to work around obstacles, results driven, and a bias for action with a pilot/learn/scale approach . It is critical that the person in this role has an "always-on" mentality and work ethic, aligned to the volatility and speed of a 24-7 news cycle.

    EducationMinimum Bachelor's Degreeor equivalent

    Experience/Background: 1-3years' experience. Brand or agency experienceis a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and focus on a variety of tasks simultaneously
