Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Communications, Public Relations and S&R, the Communications Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Manager of Internal Communications and the Specialist of External Communications. That person will help implementing and coordinating Corby's Communications, Public Relations and S&R initiatives to various stakeholders and audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Communications

Support Manager of Internal Communications in executing the corporate strategy.

  • Media Inquiry Inbox: Daily management of the media inquiry mailbox. Collaborate with other teams, transfer requests to appropriate teams and follow-up on all emails in a timely manner
  • Intranet: Draft articles. Publish content (articles and various documentation) in both English and French platforms.
  • Handle logistics of executive townhalls (room set-up, catering, invitation...)
  • Assist on internal brand communications
  • Support in creation of monthly Newsletter
  • Provide overall support to on an as-needed basis such as specific researches and projects


  • Web/Design

  • Corporate Website : Support updates and changes of the corporate website such as our Brands, our Innovations, Financial Publications, People and News and coordinate with relevant internal parties.
  • PowerPoint and Email Templates : Keep various PowerPoint and Email Signature templates up to date and work with IT department to ensure proper testing & implementation
  • Graphic Design : Provide ongoing design support to the Communication team such as internal documentations, posters, and visuals


  • Social Media

    Support the Specialist of External Communications with all Corby social channels (including but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) to increase engagement and number of followers.

  • Support creation of social media content calendar
  • Daily Tasks: Sources photos and draft captions. Schedule posts in Co-Schedule.
  • Support Specialist of External Communications with daily monitoring and liaison with social influencers. Maintain existing lists of influencers and media and assist with sample requests
  • Reporting: In charge of tracking reports and escalate in case of any issue


  • Corporate Events

    Provide support to the Director of Communications on biggest corporate events such as the Annual Sales and Marketing Conference, Responsib'All Day, CorbySafeRides... including:

  • Logistics: Catering. Set-up of rooms. Sourcing of external venues and contracts when needed. Recommendations of gifting options. Shipping. Invitations.
  • Attendees List: Create/maintain various attendees lists with relevant information (gifting, rooms, waivers, ...)
  • Survey Creation and Analysis: Create online surveys for RSVPs & attendees feedback and report results
  • Overall Support: Day-to-day support on overall organization on an as-needed basis


  • Required Skills & Abilities
    Technical Expertise

  • Highly computer literate and technologically savvy with an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop with an eye for design
  • Experience in social media management is an asset

  • Education
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Communications, Business, Public Relations, Journalism and/or Web/Graphic Design (in progress or completed)

  • Experience
  • Required: 1-3 year(s) of experience in corporate communications and/or web/graphic design
