THE ROLE

We're seeking a forward-thinking and natural leader, who is analytical and detail-oriented to join us as our Supply Chain Coordinator. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service and develop a solid understanding of our customers’ purchase order and inventory management needs. This role is responsible for logistics; both in terms of day-to-day management and strategic/relationship ownership. This role will suit an individual who thrives in a fast-paced and results-driven environment; is hard working; works with a strong sense of urgency; and is enthusiastic about helping us achieve our mission, as well as our business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Proactively process all sales orders through delivery by partnering with internal Sales ops (regarding order entry), third-party warehouses and co-packers, transportation providers, and cross-functional team members. 

Receive, process, and execute customer orders and audit for accuracy and completeness.

Coordinate transportation on delivered shipments, using approved carriers.

Act as primary contact with customers on any operations-related issue, including order problems and delivery or stock availability issues.

Review customer and freight invoices; validate pricing, terms, accessorial charges, etc.

Partner with Sales and Finance to troubleshoot any issues with new customer set-up as it relates to order processing and fulfillment.

Responsible for logistics; both in terms of day-to-day management and strategic/relationship ownership (with oversight from manager).

Assist in obtaining competitive bids and select carrier partners for new customer transportation lanes in partnership with Supply Chain management.

Arrange and manage end-to-end transportation for customer orders and warehouse transfers.

Track, maintain and report on-time delivery, case fill rate, transportation spend, and carrier KPIs.

Transact inventory transfers and generate/receive purchase orders into the system.

Review and approve freight invoices for accuracy.

Conceptualize and execute cost savings initiatives and maintain cost savings and spend trackers.

Reconcile and manage inventory accuracy across our network of warehouse locations. This includes resolving variances and closing the monthly inventory reconciliation, per the financial calendar, on time.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement or Distribution.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through
  • Ability to proactively manage and prioritize many details with a high level of accuracy
  • Understanding of EDI transaction documents is a plus
  • Experience with ERP system strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced MS Excel skills is a must
  • Process-oriented and has the ability to improve and drive efficiency given the current infrastructure
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and the ability to be highly flexible in a constantly changing environment will be critical to this role
