About The Position
Nutraceutical has a large portfolio of Vitamin and Personal Care brands, and is looking to increase awareness, consumer engagement, and sales among several of these brands. A dynamic, ambitious, marketer is needed to achieve that.
Job Summary

This role will manage two brands in our Personal Care portfolio:

For one, a women-focused brand, we are looking to build and manage a website that helps consumers find solutions for their issues, and to meaningfully drive ecomm sales.  

For the other, significant portfolio redefinition is in progress, requiring both strategic and tactical management.

This role is responsible for managing the brand communications – from websites (including the e-commerce effort on that website) to social media to Sales team support, as well as product management (for example, new product processes, ideation with Innovation team, packaging graphics changes).    

This role will report to the VP of Marketing, Personal Care, and is based in Salt Lake City, UT.  It will heavily interact with our in-house creatives, programmers, and digital media team, as well as Sales and other Marketing colleagues.   

This job will be on point for the brands’ website, including consumer communication and e-commerce on that site.  As such the right candidate for this job must be equally capable of thinking about the brand from a consumer/marketing perspective as well as executing on tactical/technical touchpoints.  As such s/he must be 1) familiar with working in Shopify+ or other website design programs, 2) capable of managing content, including briefing, overseeing and obtaining on-strategy creative assets from designers and copywriters, and 3) analytically savvy enough to determine, manage, and track what should be done to improve the success of the website, in partnership with a Digital team.  These skills should be balanced with thinking like a “true marketer,” to think from a consumer standpoint, and to generate strategy and tactics based on key understanding of the brand’s business objectives, retailer needs, and consumer needs. 

Essential Functions

Under limited supervision, performs duties following established procedures and to meet established objectives in the following areas:

  • Serves as key liaison with external agency to develop portfolio and positioning strategy for Naturally Fresh.
  • Recommends and gains alignment to refinements on key messaging and positioning for both brands.
  • Ideates content for brand, gains alignment with management and partners with Digital and Creative teams to develop and execute.
  • Works with Creative team to ensure delivery of strong, on-brand, on-strategy content that supports media strategy and required specs, for website, digital ads, display, and other online needs.
  • Develops social media plans and other marketing programs with limited budgets, to drive awareness and sales effectively and efficiently.
  • Partners with Sales to build distribution plans and volume projections.
  • Analyzes business results and acts on key learnings.
  • Develops e-commerce strategy based on website analytics and performance.
  • Draws critical analysis from data, and optimizes website in parternship with Digital team to improve performance
  • Manages website DTC e-commerce strategy, and partners with Digital team for execution from start to finish
  • Develops presentation materials as needed for Sales and Marketing, and adapts/finalizes based on feedback.
  • Is a key member of the Marketing team with responsibility to bring the brands’ voices to life, be the voice of the consumer, manage the businesses.
Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of relevant marketing and digital marketing experience (fast-growing DTC brand experience a plus)
  • Familiarity with:
  • Shopify+, Shopify Plugins, and other e-commerce tools
  • Google Optimize, and any other A/B testing tools,
  • Google Analytics (pulling & interpreting data).
  • Familiarity with the ever-changing digital marketing & e-commerce landscape
  • Strong intra-team leadership qualities and track-record of effectively working with other departments/teams
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and project management
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of KPI's for digital media and business in general
  • Demonstrated track-record of strategic and executional excellence
  • Interest and experience in developing brand messaging
  • Experience and skills at creating and/or evaluating creative assets that deliver brand messages in line with brand voice – must have a “good eye” for creative look and feel and what is “on brand”
  • Quick turnaround and tenacity are important, along with the ability to proactively problem solve and work cooperatively with others
  • Self-motivated, positive, hard-working and passionate.
  • Good oral and written communicator capable of giving clear and succinct communication to creatives or executive summaries of tracking results to senior management
  • Strong experience using MS Office Suite including, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and talk or hear.
  • The employee must exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
