My/Mo is currently looking for a “can do” Area Sales Manager that is able to work in a fast paced, mochi ice cream snack company start-up environment where you will be responsible for multiple aspects of bringing a brand to market.
OVERVIEW:

My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream, the fastest growing ice cream snack is now hiring in the Midwest! 

My/Mo is currently searching for a qualified Area Sales Manager in the Midwest region.  We are looking for a “can do” sales manager that is able to work in a fast paced, mochi ice cream snack company start-up environment where you will be responsible for multiple aspects of bringing a brand to market.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting into the Director of Sales Midwest, the Midwest Area Sales Manager must be accomplished in setting and achieving sales objectives with distributor sales teams and retail partners.

Candidates for the following position should ideally be based in the Chicago metro area. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Work with Manager to develop and execute sales plans that maximize DSD opportunities for My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream across all channels of trade in a multi-state territory within the Midwest.
  • Manage key accounts for channels of trade including independent grocery, gas, convenience stores and food service (B&I, colleges & universities and casinos).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributor partner personnel, key accounts within specific regional markets and execute distribution targets and promotion support programs in concert with all channels of trade.
  • Develop and maintain distributor and account contacts at key retailers to ensure My/Mo product availability, frozen and fresh bakery merchandising and to maximize display opportunities in conjunction with scheduled promotions.
  • Negotiate and manage business partnerships, and develop strategies to improve product positioning, sales and margins.
  • Work in conjunction with established marketing programs to coordinate store events and/or local events to expand brand visibility.
  • Identify new opportunities in all channels and make recommendations for business expansion
  • Maintain thorough understanding of customer and competitive novelty ice cream environment by frequent market visits.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

Experience and success in building business through DSD distributors and retailers
2 to 4 years of CPG sales and execution experience that includes management of DSD distributors
2 to 4 years of experience calling on distributor accounts and managing key accounts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including exhibiting competency in presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, PowerPoint and Excel)
Attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills
High sense of urgency, proactive, positive, outgoing, competitive, resilient and flexible
Results-oriented and self-motivated
