About The Position
Innovative Chinese spirits brand seeks a qualified applicant responsible for designing and executing consumer- and industry-facing marketing programs to raise brand awareness and drive sales.
ABOUT THE POSITION

OBJECTIVE: Category and brand awareness along with increased pull-through for a Chinese spirit.
 
BACKGROUND: 
  • Baijiu, or traditional Chinese spirits, is the best-selling category of spirits on earth by volume, outselling whisky and vodka combined globally, but only beginning to be known outside of China.
  • Ming River Sichuan Baijiu is a joint venture between China's oldest continually operating distillery an American and German creative and management team.
  • Ming River is currently available in multiple US states as well as select European countries
OPPORTUNITY:
  • Ming River seeks a qualified applicant responsible for designing and executing consumer- and industry-facing marketing programs to raise brand awareness and drive sales. 
  • This position will primarily focus on the on-premise market. 
  • You will report to the North American director and work closely with our management team to ensure all marketing efforts are synchronized with the company's sales and communications efforts.
 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Marketing campaign development
  • Event planning and execution
  • Content creation
  • Photo, video and illustrated content curation
  • Designing and sourcing merchandise 
  • Collaborations and brand partnerships in the F&B and art communities
  • Website (Wordpress-based) oversight
  • Other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: 
  • 21+ years old
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years experience in the alcohol industry or similar consumer goods marketing
  • MS Office suite proficiency
  •  Awareness of and willingness to engage with the on-premise cocktail/spirits market in metro NYC 
  • Social media savvy (Instagram and Facebook)
  • Basic graphic design abilities to create posters, flyers, happy hour menus, and digital event invites 
  • Appreciates Chinese culture and its impact on the global landscape
IDEAL CANDIDATE (Preferred but not Required):
  • Has prior niche spirits marketing experience 
  • Familiar with the market for niche spirits in California, Illinois and/or Washington DC in addition to NYC
  • Has Chinese linguistic ability 
COMPENSATION:
  • Commensurate with experience
