About The Position
Position: Key Account Manager (KAM), On-Premise
Reports To: Director of Business Development
Location: Any major city within the Eastern US
Travel: 25% - 50%
Position Summary: The On-Premise Key Account Manager is a critical role within the chains team and works closely with the Director of Business Development and Regional Directors to develop and execute specific programming that will drive distribution, awareness, and overall growth of our seltzer brand. The KAM will be responsible for owning and driving execution, promotional funding, and pricing in the on-premise channel. The KAM will work with the internal field team and distributor partners to sell-in programs and best practices for the on-premise.  For each market, the KAM must learn and abide by state laws regarding the selling and marketing of alcohol. 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Own the on-premise segment from chains to independents
  • Prospects, pitches, and owns business growth at top regional and national on-premise chains
  • Identify growth opportunities in the seltzer category
  • Stay current with industry trends and assess competitive activity 
  • Establish programs and promotions for sell-in
  • Coordinate distributor communication as it relates to programming, performance, post-program analysis
  • Manage budgets to support programming and revenue growth
  • Utilize sales tools (VIP, IRI, marketing campaigns, POS)
  • Contribute to the development and management of Annual Business Plans
  • Work with marketing to implement digital programs for regional customers
  • Work with Biz Dev to establish strategies in new territories and expansions
  • Maintain active communication with field sales and distributor KAMs
Job Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years of field and retail sales experience in the beverage industry or other consumer package goods
  • Preferred experience working with distributor partners and serving many diverse retailers
  • Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and an exceptional drive for results
  • Effective communications/presentation, follow-up, administrative and organizational skills
  • Initiate contact, prioritize, and maintain multiple leads 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Amazing e-mail response time and accuracy
  • Advanced computer software proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong familiarity with syndicated data
  • Strong business acumen with ability to analyze and interpret sales data to drive strategy and action plans
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
