About The Position
'Merican Mule is looking for a Market Manager to drive our business in several states, including CT, GA, MA, MI and MS. 

We are a fast growing spirits company looking for long term contributors in a competitive and growing space. Individual should be entrepreneurial by nature, results driven, analytically inclined and innately passionate on and off the clock. 

You will be tasked with building
relationships that elevate execution and distribution at the distributor level and strategically focused against retail expansion and consumer engagements.

What You'll Do:
• Develops and fosters value-adding partnerships with key accounts within assigned territory
• Utilize sales tools (Nielsen, selling tools, VIP) to analyze, develop, and execute strategic sales plans
• Responsible for developing and executing key customer initiatives
• Work closely with peers within team on assortment, sales planning, and retailer meetings
• Build and manage relationships with distributor partners within assigned territory
• Develop and implement POS materials and display enhancers. Responsible for store-level education and support
• Conduct frequent surveys to ensure accurate pricing and programming is executed
• Develop annual budget plans by distributor/key account - tracks and reports progress monthly
• Submit new item forms as needed among both chains and area distributors
• Collaborate and influence distributor order process
• Performs administrative duties in a timely fashion
• Coordinate and participate in regularly scheduled sales meetings among distribution partners and internal staff
• Maintain and publish updated account list including detailed communication history
• Ability and willingness to participate in a myriad of customer-facing events such as festivals, store tastings, beer dinners, brewery tours, educational seminars, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining a professional demeanor and presentation at all times - including situations in which alcohol is present
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed

What You'll Need:
***Thirst for knowledge & desire for continuous improvement
• 3 - 5 years of sales/marketing experience within the bev alc industry
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Experience with wholesaler network/processes as well as with some chain knowledge across multiple customers types
• Ability to collaborate cross functionally
• Advanced public speaking and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
• Regular travel required (35%-40%)
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
