As former homebrewers, we spent years perfecting our brew to create the most innovative and delicious seltzers in the game, with unique flavors that push the envelope.

Launched in 2021, Lunar has rapidly gained national acclaim as one of the best seltzers on the block, appearing in VinePair, Forbes, TimeOut, Gear Patrol, Eater, Thrillist and beyond.  Lunar is looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial Market Development Manager to help take the brand to the next level in the NYC metro area.

About the Role & Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include the following:
  • Spend 80% of time in the field opening new on-premise and off-premise accounts and building relationships with buyers
  • Regular account visits to existing and new accounts
  • Regular sales calls to existing and new accounts
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key managers/buyers at target accounts
  • Track and monitor progress with accounts
  • Grow volume by executing strategies for POS placement, merchandising, pricing and increased SKU distribution at on and off premise accounts
  • Create, schedule, and execute off-premise samplings, on-premise events & programming, festivals, and wholesaler work withs
  • Establish weekly target account lists and sales goals, and ability to achieve and execute on such goals
  • Maintains constant communication with Lunar team and wholesaler representatives
  • Ability to wear multiple hats, including completion of administrative tasks, expense reporting, budget management, etc.
  • Engage, instruct and inspire consumers about Lunar
  • Embrace and represent Lunar’s values, mission, and brand identity at all times
  • Reports to the Director of Sales
  • Occasionally work weeknights and weekends as required
The ideal candidate:
  • 1-3 years sales experience with a beverage alcohol supplier or distributor
  • Must be currently living in the New York City metro area
  • Strong knowledge of the NYC market including existing relationships with accounts 
  • Physical demands include ability to frequently lift and move up to 40 pounds or more
  • A valid driver license, excellent driving record and a reliable car is a plus

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with applicant’s previous experience
  • Eligibility for quarterly bonuses based on hitting KPIs
  • This is a full-time salaried position that includes paid time off
