Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Key Account Representative (Senior KAR) is the face of KeHE Fresh to our customers, Albertsons/Safeway Divisional Management. The primary job responsibility of the Senior KAR is to act as the intermediary between the customer and our company. It is the responsibility of the Senior KAR to ensure the customer needs are met by the company and in doing so increase sales on a consistent basis. It is the Senior KAR's duty to align the customer's values and needs while increasing sales and margin dollars, creating a mutually benefiting relationship.

Essential Functions
  • Build strong, long term relationships with category buyers and department directors.
  • Prepare and present new items, promotional activity and current category programs with retail buyers weekly.
  • Work closely with product vendors, brokers and manufactures to penetrate the account.
  • Communicate daily with operations, purchasing, transportations and finance department to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide weekly progress/follow-up to Director of National Accounts to ensure alignment of goals and increase sales.
  • Manages price, files order guides, inventory, new item setup and price quotes/contracts.Supports new store openings and shows.
  • Utilize Category Specialists as additional ?eyes and ears? in the account to increase sales, penetrate departments and increase gross profit margins.
  • Effectively maintain and manage all processes required to set-up new items and promotional items.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Three (3) years of previous experience in similar role with respect to customers focus and retention.

  • Food Industry experience a plus.
  • Stellar communication skills and strong personal relationship skills.
