About The Position
Beverage distributor has immediate opening for an experienced and organized operations manager.
  • 5 years of operations management experience a must
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority, which are essential to the roll that juggles a variety of functions and projects
  • Interpersonal skills are essential to communicate with both executives and staff employees in order to create and administer policy
  • CLA Class A license preferred

Follow direction of senior management and manage expectations accordingly.  Implement any directives given.
Work cross functionally with sales and admin staff to reach company objectives.

  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way. This includes:
    • Fleet Management
      • Work with each vendor to meet company needs
  • Delivery Staff Management
    • Manage delivery expectations and exceed costumer service expectations
    • Establish training, guidance, discipline, and accountability programs 
  • Warehouse Staff Management
    • Ensure inventory and inbound benchmarks are met
    • Establish training, guidance, discipline, and accountability programs 
  • Facility Management
    • Ensure a safe and presentable work environment
  • Asset Management
    • Ensure the proper management, including preventative maintenance, of all delivery and warehouse related assets.
  • Manage Wholesaler Equity expectations for Anheuser-InBev.  This includes policy and procedures concerning the following:
    • Product quality control (Close to code and old beer)
    • Repack policies
    • Inbound benchmarks
    • Dunnage Returns
    • Controlled Environment Warehouse
    • Fleet graphics
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
    • OSHA 
    • DOT
    • Alcohol regulation (State and Federal)
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives in line with company objectives
  • Perform operational audits of all three companies on a periodic basis to ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and properly followed
  • Recruit, train and supervise management staff
  • Find ways to increase the quality of customer service
  • Prioritize inventory accuracy
    • Maintain a vested interest in inventory – including variance research and cycle counts
    • Verify inventory reports
    • Ensure accountability with the current warehouse staff
    • Current expectations include daily cycle counts, weekly inventory reconciliation with key products and a full inventory monthly
