Role Responsibilities:
You will be the spirit of our journey, ensuring that every interaction is garnished with enthusiasm, served with style, and leaves a lasting impression that's sweeter than a perfectly crafted cocktail! Additionally, you will:
- Act as our in-market local face of the brand to the trade, key accounts, and local consumers to create lifestyle events and experiences.
- Drive brand sales performance to achieve volume objectives for territory while working in conjunction with distributor salesforce to maximize distribution and volume while sharing brand building initiatives, goals, and updates.
- Support training and development initiatives for wholesaler teams and with key accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with the owners & managers of the top accounts within area of responsibility.
- Prioritize existing accounts and utilize resources (materials, budgets) to achieve set market goals.
- Complete daily account visit reports, monthly expense reports and other surveys and reports as required.
- Secure feature & display support for Tropical Distillery brands and improved shelf space position in retail accounts.
- Recruit new consumers to the brand: Seek opportunities to sample, educate and partner with key on and off premise accounts and local influencers.
- Maximizes brand exposure through trade by coordinating in store tastings and conducting staff trainings to get liquid to lips.
- Build trade influencer networks.
- Follow up on all potential leads within territory.
- Provide on-going updates with brand opportunities, partnerships, issues, and learnings.
- Ensure Wholesalers maintain adequate product inventory levels.
- Organize and coordinate promotional activity in area of responsibility.
- Participate in evening and weekend promotions and assist with special events.
Required Qualifications:
- Must live within 1 hour from NYC.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in spirits industry
- Valid driver's license
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience, ideally with an emphasis on Sales and/or Marketing
- Proven track record in building good relationships with customers, as well as with internal associates.
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Computer literate, with the ability to use software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Be in the field a minimum of 80% of working time, 20% of which will include travel to secondary markets, with up to 5 hours of driving time.
- Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
- Must be able to move up to 55 lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.

- Demonstrated diligence and ability to follow through on commitments and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals with a minimum of direction.
- Strong math skills with the ability to understand wholesaler margins, retailer cost of goods calculations, and market discount structures.
