About The Position
Purpose of this Role
This candidate will be responsible for driving sales across multiple channels, including Natural, Grocery, Convenience, Drug & Mass, Independents. This Key Account Manager must possess the ability to develop & flawlessly execute plans and inspire others to deliver desired results.

The ideal candidate will need to be an experienced salesperson with account management expertise in the beverage industry. They will need to bring existing customer relationships, be able to work with key stakeholders with customers and internal headquarter levels. This person should have experience with both direct store delivery and direct to customer warehouse.
The successful candidate must be able to utilize and showcase their sales knowledge, business acumen, and leadership. They must lead with a blend of structure/discipline and flexibility/nimbleness.

Successful candidates will be required to embrace The Guayaki / Yerba Mate Co.’s strategy, bring an in-depth understanding of the business and markets to grow Guayaki’s distribution across all retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

Area 1 (80% of time) 
·        Develop & execute strategic sales/distribution plans with assigned customers to drive market share and revenue growth. 
·        Build & maintain strong relationships with all existing Guayaki retail partners 
·        Build and maintain new customer relationships 
·        Prepare fact-based business reviews and selling presentations for customer meetings leveraging all data sources available (syndicated, account level, etc.) 
·        Analyze internal sales reports, syndicated data & category insights to identify opportunities and make strategic business decisions. 
·        Embody the Guayaki Mission, Vision and Values
 
 Area 2 (20% of time) 
·        Analyze internal sales reports, syndicated data & category insights to identify opportunities and make strategic business decisions. 
·        Work closely with our direct store delivery teams to ensure execution of new distribution and promotional activity. 
·        Work with the sales leadership team to build an annual sales plan and provide monthly updates on progress against the plan. 
·        Execute against national and regional chain mandates and authorizations in conjunction with distributor partners. 
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
·        None

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
·      A working knowledge of DSD (direct store delivery) beverage experience is ideal. 
·      Demonstrated proven success in sales and account management growth in a customer / consumer facing business. 
·      Ability to develop and implement customer plans that deliver results 
·      The ability to thrive in a highly competitive field sales environment 
·      Thorough knowledge of sales, marketing, planning, business analytics 
·      Must be able to work independently and be able to travel up to 40% 
·      Must have a reliable vehicle and smart phone 
·      Degree or Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred 
·      Minimum: 3 years of related Key Account experience, established relationships with key customer key decision makers 
·      Preferred: 5+ years of related Key Account experience, established relationships with key customer key decision makers 

Computer/Language/Analytical or other Skills 
·      Experience in predictive modelling and forecasting 
·      Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office expert 
·      The ability to work autonomously in fast-moving, ambiguous development environments. 
·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
·      Ability to take initiative and act independently. 

Competencies, Attributes, or other Knowledge for Success in this Role: 
·      Preferred experience in working with a natural/organic consumable product 
·      A constant desire to learn, improve, and help others improve. 
·      Self-starter who desires to discover trends and find actionable information. 
·      Experience working in and with a direct store delivery model

·      Physical Demands: ability to lift 15lbs
·      Travel Requirements: 30-40%
