About The Position
POSITION - CRAFT BEER SALES REPRESENTATIVE: 
We are a growing midsize craft brewery located in Suffolk County, NY, in search of a Sales Representative to assist in selling our products to new accounts while maintaining sales within the assigned territory. The Sales Rep will be required to have a comprehensive knowledge of the company's range of products; and present products to new accounts a minimum of 160 times per month while sustaining relationships with existing accounts.
 
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Able to manage assigned territory and specific distributor accounts
  • Develop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory for both on and off premise accounts
  • Pursue new opportunities for distribution and impact local market to upsell, secure multiple SKU distribution, cooler visibility and displays
  • Attend selected on-off premise promotional events
  • Guide proper shelf management positions and merchandising 
  • Participate in special events, on-off premise sampling events, golf tournaments, festivals, etc..
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Entry Level with 1-3 years of beverage sales experience
  • Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules.  Frequent travel, weekend, and flexible hours may be necessary.
  • Need a high energy, positive individual with an entrepreneurial drive 
  • Beverage sales experience including prospecting for new leads/opportunities and face-to-face selling 
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail and good time management 
  • Considered a "CLOSER" and can provide evidence to support direct sales achievements
  • Expected to spend 90% of the time in the trade, with 10% office time.
  • Ensure compliance of all New York alcoholic beverage regulations
COMPENSATION:
  •  The base compensation for this job is between $35,000-40,000, plus expenses, plus bonus of up to 30% of base salary, contingent on achieving performance based goals.
