We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team! This role will report into the Accounting Manager in our NYC office, and will be responsible for a variety of accounting activities.

NOTE: Our office is located in NYC and we operate on a flexible, hybrid office policy. Remote candidates are also welcome to apply.*

What you'll do:
  • Manage AP & AR functions, bank and credit card reconciliations, and inventory, purchase orders, and WIP analyses
  • Support monthly financial close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of month end journal entries, and P&L analyses across our brands
  • Research technical GAAP accounting, including preparation of workpapers and memos to support M&A activity
  • Partner with Finance, Logistics, HR, Marketing, and Brand Owners to ensure all monthly transactions are properly booked
  • Implement process improvements, document internal controls and identify automation opportunities
  • Conduct annual audit and quarterly internal reviews, review contracts and leases to ensure compliance with GAAP, and various ad-hoc projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience in Accounting/Audit

Bonus points if you have:
  • Experience in retail, eCommerce, or high-growth start-ups
  • NetSuite and/or Airbase experience
