Principal, Business Development & Partnerships

As the first business development hire at Forum Brands, you will be responsible for setting the vision and infrastructure for the company's BD function. This role will be highly visible to the company's executive management team and own critical revenue-driving partnerships across affiliate marketing, B2B sales, marketplace expansion, and more.

As the leader of the BD team, you will be expected to:
  • Incubate partnerships: Source partner opportunities and negotiate strong terms that can unlock meaningful near and long-term bottom-line contribution to the business.
  • Build, lead, and inspire: You will be responsible for designing and building a best-in-class Business Development team with a culture of testing, learning, and bias for action.
  • Be a thought leader: Synthesize findings from quantitative and qualitative research to identify partner opportunities and prioritize allocation of resources.
  • Own your results: Balance speed of execution with size of investment and forecasted returns to efficiently accelerate our growth.
  • Streamline partner operations: Establish mechanisms (reporting, newsletters, dashboards, etc.) to influence partner operational performance and provide visibility to internal teams.
  • Be a connector: Work with teams such as Brand, Logistics, Legal, Creative, Tech and more to ensure cross-functional transparency and collaboration in strategy and execution.
  • Drive corporate strategy: Inform forward-looking strategy by preparing and delivering business reviews that outline progress and roadblocks for executive leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of experience in business development, partnership management, and sourcing new business
  • Proven ability to build and inspire teams in a comparably fast-paced environment
  • Growth mindset - you build an aspirational roadmap of objectives and key results and are creative and resourceful in reaching them
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment with a proven ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Deep knowledge and a network in the consumer sector (ecommerce, CPG, retail, etc.)

Bonus points if you have
  • Prior experience in performance marketing
  • Track record of successful P&L responsibility
  • Deep expertise and familiarity with the affiliate marketing space
