About The Position
As Market Manager, your role is ultimately charged with increasing the sales and distribution of Florida Caribbean’s portfolio of brands within your given territory.

Florida Caribbean Distillers was established in 1943, in Lake Alfred FL. We have two distilleries located in Lake Alfred, and Auburndale Florida. Florida Caribbean is the company behind Capriccio Sangria, a million + case brand for the past three years. With our strength in wine-based beverages & rum, and a deep commitment to innovation, we will be launching Capriccio Ranch Water Spirits, an exciting new spirit-based RTD into the US in 2021. As an industry leader in innovation, and elite packaging, Capriccio Spirits is set to follow in the successful footsteps of Capriccio Sangria.
 

Job Summary:
This role includes direct responsibility for key on and off-premise accounts, increasing sales and securing distribution in existing and new accounts, working closely with the distributor network within assigned territory to execute marketing initiatives to develop and maintain all accounts. 

Responsibilities:
  • Partners with the NE Region Director, and marketing team, to oversee all sales efforts in assigned territory (NY, CT, MA, RI)
  • Gain an intimate working knowledge of distributor partner’s organization including an open relationship with all members of the management and sales team for both on and off premise
  • Aggressively pursue new on and off premise distribution and uncover new market opportunities
  • Collaborate on annual planning, forecasting, promotional calendars, and distributor/operator spending
  • Create and follow sales leads
  • Maintain a weekly/bi-weekly planner of goals and distributor account calls
  • Must have complete working knowledge of all distributor partner pricing and programming, including different deal levels and incentives
  • Creates programming plans, sets execution objectives, and ensures the annual plan is executed by distributor sales team
  • Oversees and manages market’s sales budgets
  • Analyze distributor partner budgets with direct report on a regular basis to ensure appropriate spending
Qualifications:
  • Must be a self-starter who can manage priorities in an effective and efficient manner
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Distributor or supplier/producer parent company
  • Stays current on all liquor license codes and regulations within territory with a strong understanding of the alcohol three tier system
  • Must have flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary to support sales activities 
  • Extensive car travel is required in the trade working intimately with distributor sales team and on and off premise customers 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools
  • Proficient use of computers, specifically Microsoft Office
  • Acts professionally and avoids unethical sales tactics
  • Model the culture at Florida Caribbean Distillers
  • You are a highly organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • You have a strong desire for results and ability to execute initiatives to completion
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • College degree preferred
