CHEERS! Are you ready to be part of an expanding Trade Marketing organization in one of the fastest growing Wine & Spirits companies in the country?

Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Planning and Activation and working with the General Manager of a Business Unit, the Marketing Activation Manager, Mid West BU will translate national strategies to activities in the marketplace that persuade the trade to support our brands, and influence consumers to buy our brands. You'll interface with Brand Teams, Sales, Finance, and your Trade Marketing Counterparts to implement Brand Strategy with localized marketing & activation plans. This position is located in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

    What Will You Do?

    Responsible to author, align, execute and evaluate local marketing plans on our priority brands
  • Create annual activation plan for the Business Unit using HQ brand guidance and knowledge of the local markets
  • Plan and manage local marketing budget across brands
  • Build on national program thematics with local topspin to increase local relevance
  • Order and manage POS for all markets in the Business Unit across the portfolio
  • Work with BU GM to allocated limited edition/limited quantity items across states and monitor to ensure timely execution
  • Align KPIs for local program with stakeholders and conduct ROI analysis port program with recommendation for the future

    Responsible for commercialization of innovation items within the Business Unit
  • Coordinate scheduling of launch meetings with distributors, sales, HQ, brand team, Exec
  • Develop local launch plan with national and local marketing activity
  • Assemble and present product details, rationale, selling story, local support, executional standards
  • Coordinate all required selling materials for a successful launch

    Responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate local events
  • Execute experiential tours and consumer events based on guidance from the brand team, adding local topspin as agreed to increase relevance
  • Develop and procure materials required in concert with brand teams
  • Suggest venues and existing event opportunities as part of national tours
  • Execute market-lead local events on behalf of or brands in accordance with brand strategy
  • Provide ROI analysis for all events to ensure efficiency with recommendation for the future

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar field
  • 3-5 years' experience in the Wine and Spirits industry in a combination of brand marketing, trade marketing, and/or sales roles
  • Ability to translate brand strategy to local activations
  • Experience planning and executing consumer and trade events
  • Financial acumen with ability to manage budgets and perform ROI
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to a high standard
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • The ideal candidate has local market knowledge of retail environment and key events
