Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer for the Waters Business Unit, the Vice President, Marketing will be responsible for leading the waters business in a highly competitive category. S/he will be responsible for driving marketing excellence to drive both the base business as well as determining innovation strategies to take the product portfolio into new categories and occasions. This role is a key member of the Waters cross-functional leadership team.

The ideal candidate will be a classically-trained, strategic, CPG marketer with strong brand management skills, clear commercial acumen and strong general management savvy. This person will have a strong blend of strategic vision, operational marketing / commercial experience and innovation. S/he will have a track record of successful portfolio management, strong financial acumen / P&L savvy, and strong brand management fundamentals. S/he will also have learned and grown from a wide range of both successes and failures, as they will have the courage to go after bold goals.
This person will have drive, energy and a strong bias for action. S/he will pair an aggressive growth mindset with a collaborative, influence-driven work style. They will be a quick study who has an extraordinary ability to handle ambiguity and a creative approach to problem solving. S/he will lead by example and will have a reputation for driving positive change. Further, they will be a team player and team builder and excel at partnering and influencing decision making at all levels of the organization.

• Partner with the General Manager to set vision and strategy for the brand
• Lead the marketing organization to develop big marketing and commercialization ideas that continue to fuel topline growth for the brands
• Own and develop compelling brand positioning, copy strategies and creative briefs that result in game-changing activation ideas
• Lead partnership with all agencies of record that support the business
• Lead development and execution of annual marketing plans, including development of optimal brand communication hierarchy and marketing mix
• Reframes business, brands, and go to market strategy to drive demand creation
• Lead strategic planning process and ensure successful implementation
• Manage all aspects of the business, working collaboratively with functional leaders to deliver consistent net sales and profit objectives
• Build an expanded brand equity through innovation
• Develop and drive multi-year vision to develop optimal path to strengthen and improve margin
• Supports strategic business needs while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing processes, programs and infrastructure
• Evaluate, review and communicate progress of financial performance against company goals effectively with employees and other stakeholders
• Leverages insights and creative strategies to achieve overall business goals for the brand and to maximize competitive differentiation
• Ensure top-tier advertising and brand building to further develop consumer loyalty
• Build, retain, and inspire a talented team. Develop the bench for future leaders
• Function as a visible leader to the organization to instill confidence
• Build a culture of innovation by driving knowledge and best practice throughout the organization
