Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Growth Channels, the Vice President, Marketing - Strategic Growth Channels will be responsible for leading the Strategic Growth Channels portfolio across Foodservice, C-Store, Dollar Stores, Discount Stores, Drug Stores and Export, of a highly competitive category. S/he will be responsible for driving marketing excellence across these categories as well as determining innovation strategies to take the brands into new categories and occasions. This is a leadership role responsible for developing, implementing and managing annual strategic, financial and operating plans. This will include analysis and P&L, and leading a cross-functional team with responsibility for aligning the organization on brand vision in channels, strategies, innovation and resources.

Lead the development and brand portfolio strategy for our Strategic Growth Channel portfolio including all U.S. Danone brands (i.e. International Delight, Oikos, Danimals, Dannon, YoCrunch, Silk, SToK etc.), applicable segments (i.e. plant based, Greek, kids, etc.) and pack types (i.e. bulk, cups, drinkables, etc.) for Strategic Growth Channels
• Lead the portfolio strategy for Strategic Growth Channels which includes Foodservice, Vending/OCS, Convenience Stores, Dollar Stores, Discount Stores, Drug Stores and Export
• Exercise leadership in planning, structuring and organizing work and setting team priorities across brands
• Ensure the development and understanding of consumer and consumer/operator insights, needs and financials
• Responsible and accountable for the achievement of revenue, profitability, market share and other objectives by:
o Developing and executing annual and long-term strategic plans for assigned brands consistent with corporate priorities
o Supporting staff in the active management of product line profit and loss statements
o Enabling and leveraging cross-functional teams, including Yogurt BU Brand Teams, Sales, GTM, Finance and R&D, to meet Brand Plans and drive execution excellence
o Ensure development of brand and category strategies to meet consumer and customer objectives
o Being accountable for marketing strategies but not limited to advertising, media, promotions, research packaging and pricing
o Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with external partners and agencies
o Increasing brand value by utilizing basic Consumer Insight principles
o Lead price/pack architecture principles
o Provide input on S&OP, demand forecasting and long-range capacity planning
• Develop and consistently build Brand Equity as a means of attaining volume goals and long-term profit growth and ensures all elements of marketing mix reflect brand positioning
• Partner with channel marketing activation to create business building solutions that drive penetration and velocity in priority channels/segments
• Analyze the specific business, category trends/dynamics and competitive landscape to deliver insights, recommendations and actions to achieve objectives
• Lead and influence innovation to develop and execute short and long-term core improvement and new products
• Coach and develop direct reports, set clear expectations, and model expected leader/team behaviors. Manage and motivate a team of individuals; inspire, coach and mentor others; guide toward goal accomplishment
• Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, gain senior level alignment with rigorous, fact-based rationale
• Develop and maximize results from communication/interaction with key cross-functional constituents within Danone, especially the Marketing Leadership Team to ensure alignment on consumer brand strategies.

Education and Experience:
• Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred
• 10+ Years progressive marketing or trade marketing experience in branded CPG in Foodservice, C-store or Other Alternative Channel (Dollar, Discount, Drug, Cash & Carry, Club)
• Base business experience and achievements include:
o Running the total business - P&L ownership from top-to-bottom on a major brand/portfolio of brands
o Proven track record at bringing big, breakthrough marketing ideas to market
o Proven track record in leading new brand positioning, new brand campaigns, activation programs and copy to market from a total company perspective
o Strong at resource allocation; experience in getting the most out of both resource rich and resource starved businesses
• Experience with key decision tools and data (IRI, NPD Supply Track, Tableau)
• Demonstrated leadership and people development with 7+ years people/team management experience; managed brand marketing/brand manager(s) and leading cross-functional teams
• Experience leading innovation teams from ideation to development and successful commercialization
• Competent in process from insight generation, to product development to development of marketing launch programs; ideally test market experience
• Strong sales and customer understanding; experience integrating business plans and marketing programs with sales
• Direct experience working in a highly matrixed, global company and capability to influence stake holders at all levels
