This position is located in Broomfield, CO and reports to the Director, Strategy & Insights, Innovation & Enterprise Practices. The Associate Manager, Strategy & Insights will play a strategic role in delivering consumer and marketplace insights for enterprise projects. The person in this position will serve as a key team member of the enterprise innovation practice, while also working to support multi-category insight generation via custom and syndicated consumer research. Emphasis on consumer centricity to support U.S. growth initiatives across all businesses.

ABOUT THE JOB
  • Be the voice of consumer and inject consumer insights across many aspects of the business, including but not limited to brand strategy, communication strategy, innovation, product and packaging, test market execution and assessment
  • Influence general management and the cross-functional team members by actively and persuasively representing the consumer and marketplace dynamics to inform strategies and tactics
  • Develop and execute research plans grounded in understanding of the business challenges and opportunities; previous experience in innovation focused methods a plus
  • Integrate and triangulate data and insight from multiple sources (primary, secondary and syndicated) to drive holistic business recommendations and strategy development
  • Translate data and information into clear, actionable, and impactful insights and business recommendations utilizing best in class "story telling" and engaging communication
  • Actively participate and provide thought leadership in all aspects of business development (not just research and related issues)
  • Collaborate with other functional leads and agency partners to ensure consumer understanding and insight is integrated with the needs of many internal partners (e.g. R&D, Sales, Legal, Strategy, Brand Marketing, etc.)
  • Lead relationships with current and new research suppliers to maximize the potential of our research learning
  • Drive the evolution of the Insights function through experimentation with new approaches and an innovative mindset

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • B.S./B.A. (required) Marketing, Business or related field
  • M.S./MBA (preferred) in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights or related area. Consumer packaged goods experience preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Innate curiosity to understand human behavior and build consumer intimacy
  • Good storytelling
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Broad understanding of marketing research techniques and applications
  • Track record of successfully applying research results to business applications and influencing general leadership
