About The Position

Clevr is a woman-led, Series-A wellness brand reimagining coffee & tea to address our most common modern problems. Our barista-inspired functional beverages address energy, stress, and sleep, and are rooted in indulgent flavor and science-led function.

In the past few years, Clevr has gone from grassroots startup, to high growth venture-backed brand, thanks to organic momentum, an evangelistic customer base, and support from some of the world’s most respected female luminaries. We are primarily DTC with growing Amazon and retail channels.

We are a mission driven brand, with a focus on regenerative, sustainable sourcing, and commitment to food systems equity via our food justice grant program. 

The Head of Operations will be an integral part of the senior level management team at Clevr. You will be responsible for leading the operational growth and direction of the brand as well as overseeing, optimizing, and managing the execution of the day-to-day needs of the business from an operations and supply chain perspective. The Head of Ops will be a leader for our existing operations team, and continue to build a world-class team as we scale.
Your primary goal is to ensure that all operational aspects run efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with the overall strategic objectives and mission of Clevr. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve operational excellence.


  • Drive the day to day operations and overall growth of Clevr’s omni channel business (DTC, Amazon, Wholesale/Retail). 
  • Own day to day demand planning, production planning and inventory management.
  • Support the COO and existing operations team in continuing to lay the foundational operational needs of the brand in support of their next phase of growth and beyond.
  • Work cross functionally with the sales, marketing and fulfillment teams to execute best practices and drive growth.
  • Manage and foster all vendor relationships - Manufacturers, 3PL’s, Suppliers, etc. 
  • Exemplify Clevr’s core values and mission and foster a positive and open working environment.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of retail and direct-to-consumer forecasts and sales to ensure expected inventory levels and labor are available to meet demand
  • Oversee cost optimization activities and focus on growth strategies.

Core Focus Areas:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of operations managers, production coordinators, fulfillment managers and logistics personnel. Foster a positive work environment and ensure clear communication across all levels of the operations team.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive management to develop and execute operational strategies that support the company's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Demand Planning and Inventory Management: Manage and analyze the day to day production, supply chain and inventory needs to ensure stock levels.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Coordinate with co-packers QA teams to ensure consistent quality products." This person won't align quality without operational goals in mind for fulfillment.
  • Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Collaborate with the finance department to create and manage budgets for various operational activities. Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.

  • 5-10+ years of operations and supply chain experience leading, managing, and scaling omni channel food + beverage brands.
  • Data driven mentality towards problem solving.  Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excel wizard.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and navigate in a dynamic and fast-paced company..
  • Strategic thinker who can see the big picture while executing on the day to day. 
  • Exceptional team management and leadership skills.
  • Highly analytical, organized and detail oriented.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with inventory management systems (DEAR, etc.), Shopify and EDI. 
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks is a plus.
