About The Position
Position is a Multi-State Role overseeing sales in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. State Manager will be lead point of contact for all Distributor business management processes, as well as personnel management.
Primary Responsibilities:
1) Attain shipment, depletion and account sold targets is assigned market(s).
2) Lead and direct development of market programming, pricing and distributor planning for all trade channels.
3) Accountable for forming and maintaining key relationships at key accounts and at all designated distributors.
4) Identify and maximize business opportunities based on depletion and customer data analytics.
5) Assist RVP in development of all market plans.

Additional Duties:
• Lead, develop and provide direction to Market Managers within assigned territory. Develop objectives and provide quarterly feedback on objectives. Conduct yearly personnel review in conjunction with RVP.
• Monitor and develop activity based on opportunities that are proactive and reactive to market conditions; review size mix, profitability and channel reports, key account chain performance, industry data, etc.
• Execute quarterly business reviews with distributors.
• Maintain knowledge of program plans and execution; review and discuss performance on in-house tracking at distributor.
• Discuss ongoing programs and performance opportunities with Regional Vice President and distributors.
• Maintain key account relationships with trade channel leaders through dialogue, direct calls, street calls.
• Review sales, shipment and depletion performance with an emphasis on review of key accounts.
• Monitor market trends and competitive information; communicate with distributor supervisors on market conditions.
• Communicate regularly via email, telephone, etc., processing communications regarding current and future requirements.
• Execute plans and required follow-up as needed on special events, assigned projects, and future planning needs, i.e., POS, program follow-up, national accounts, local activity reporting, price surveys, and follow-up correspondence.

Skills:
 1.      Ability to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner, communicating effectively with employees, staff, customers both internal and external; in person, via telephone or email.
 2.      Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
 3.      Computer proficiency required in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to use advanced computer functions including navigating the internet.
 4.      Ability to read and write in English with knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar. Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
 5.      Possess exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
 
Physical Requirements:
 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls (5-6+ hours per day); reach with hands and arms;  and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance.

Working Environment:
Indoor climate controlled environment.
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles; may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and fork lifts in a warehouse environment.
