About The Position
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the management and development of the company’s western region sales and designated key account business, consisting of a network of brokers, distributors, and retail accounts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
●       Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the western regional market to ensure attainment of company sales goals and objectives
●       Work with Interim COO and COO
●       Create promotional budgets and activities for the region by distributor and/or account
●       Create and execute creative and effective merchandising programs for accounts as required
●       Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets
●       Provide excellent merchandising and category resets to support sales growth as applicable
●       Assist customers in resolution of complaints
●       Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
●       Set promotional planners and goals for each of the assigned distributors in coordination with the broker
●       Set sales and spend goals for assigned brokers
●       Review these goals quarterly along with setting additional goals
●       Provide reports to the Interim COO on a regular basis to help build sales
●       Create teaching opportunities and providing stretch targets for growth and development with brokers
●       Facilitate and ensure individual and team sales roles and responsibilities are understood, performance measurement objectives are identified, reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basis in order to provide feedback on accomplishments, and immediate action is taken to remedy shortfalls
●       Provide training, support, and evaluation of field marketing personnel
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
●       Degree in a related discipline preferred, or other job-­related or equivalent business experience
●       Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales in the natural grocery trade and other retail venues
●       Experience in managing Brokers and/or Direct Sales team
●       Proven track record in retail environment; online sales experience an added benefit.
●       Thorough and ongoing knowledge of current sales and business development concepts and practices
●       Demonstrated ability working with key software applications, including Microsoft Suite
●       Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
●       Valid driver’s license and vehicle
