Responsibilities

About The Role:

This Product Aroma Specialist position will be responsible for facilitating commercial facing aroma projects and supporting assortment management and planning.

This role best suits someone who is passionate about aromas and is highly organized. This role will be deeply involved in supporting the creation of aroma focused documents, tracking aromas from the field through the process and assisting with product marketing strategies.

Helping provide leadership to junior members on a growing team while actively pushing forward multiple large projects will be a part of your weekly cadence, along with forging meaningful relationships with crossfunctionional team members. As such, a positive attitude and an ability to work with multiple personality types in a dynamic, high-growth environment will be a must.

The ideal candidate is a great team player and loves to get cross-functional team members together to achieve the best end result. This is a person who is highly knowledgeable about aromas and flavors and has a detail oriented mind. This person should be a natural problem solver and someone who loves to innovate.

What You'll Do:
  • Act as an advocate for Leadership objectives
  • Support and manage product aroma planning and assessment
  • Lead costing audits of existing products
  • Prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary
  • Lead Commercial facing Aroma focused meetings
  • Provide leadership to junior members
  • Help develop and create SOP's
  • Develop market and product requirements (MRD/PRDs) to articulate product needs and priorities
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of trending strains and aroma types in the cannabis industry
  • Conduct market and product analysis to ensure visibility in to market trends and direction
  • Assess competitive position by comparing the company's products to competitors' products
  • Support Assortment-Planning and decision making
  • Maintain an understanding of CCA assortment management process
  • Support and manage the creation of aroma catalogs and communications
  • Partner with Marketing department on product aroma related communications and positioning
  • Partner with Product Management and Manufacturing Support to align production requirements.
  • Evangelize our products and roadmap to customers, consumers, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

What You'll Need to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of Product Management Experience within the CPG industry
  • Wine Industry Experience a plus
  • Perishable Goods Experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience managing product roadmaps and backlogs
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office / GSuite, with advanced skills in Excel / Sheets
  • Data Visualization a plus
  • Project Management Experience a plus
