The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level for assigned area.

You will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: new hire training, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment and employment law compliance.

What You'll Do
  • Embraces and demonstrates alignment with Caliva Values – Integrity, Positive Energy, Bias to Action, Connectedness, Truth Seeking 
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures; i.e., benefits and worker’s comp claim resolution
  • Assists with internal and external HR related matters.
  • Participates in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
  • Assists with the recruitment process by identifying candidates and conducting interviews.
  • Responsible for conducting new employee orientations and terminations
  • Responsible for data entry in HRIS, shared network and other HR systems
  • Assists in the evaluation of reports, decisions and results in relation to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency.
  • Investigates complaints brought by employees
  • Coordinates development plans and performance management
  • Produces and submits reports on general HR activity for assigned area.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
What You Have
  • Good understanding of labor laws and pay practices
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills
  • Excellent record keeping skills
  • Thorough knowledge of HR functions and best practices
  • Current experience with ADP WorkForce Now
  • Experience in Excel and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Organization and conflict management skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in the HR field
Working Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets.

 Job Requirements
  •  Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, use hands and fingers for data entry for 8 hours or more, some lifting, squatting, bending, some pushing and pulling.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed and travel to other locations.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must comply with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must pass a background check with local police department
