The Accounts Payable Manager will ensure that the department operates smoothly, maintains accurate and complete records regarding payments to suppliers, lenders and employees, and process payments from clients. The Accounts Payable Manager will serve as a liaison between the Accounts Payable department and all internal/external parties.

What You'll Do
  • Responsible for the full cycle AP process for all affiliates.
  • Manage all vendor payments and expense reimbursements (check, cash, ACH, wire), Review weekly AP Check runs for all affiliates.
  • Maintain AP aging by ensuring timely vendor payments.
  • Plan cash flow with Controller to insure appropriate bank accounts are funded.
  • Maintain all Accounts Payable files in accordance with Corporate Policy.
  • Manage the corporate credit card accounts and payments.
  • Manage and report on employee expense reimbursements.
  • Responsible for vendor 1099 filings and year-end reporting requirements.
  • Compile, analyze, and report financial information to management and government agencies.
  • Improve, and enforce AP policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Set and facilitate the achievement of AP department objectives.
  • Create routine operational and ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Assist in the coordination of requests from management and third-party auditors as necessary.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and employees by engaging directly and timely to requests or inquiries.
  • Drives positive employee relations and delivers sustainable results through being a positive role model.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

What You Have

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
  • 5 years of accounts payable experience in a complex business environment.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and management accounting.
  • Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and comfortability with various software and databases.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation).
  • Self-motivated with good time management and follow-up skills; highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and collaborate on projects.

Working Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers and filing cabinets.

Job Requirements
  • Work revolves around objectives, projects and priorities, not hours; must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
  • Ability to use computer and calculator for 8 hours or more.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check with the San Jose Police Department.
